Straight From "the Cannon"!!!

As the driving force behind the Pat Travers Band since 1995, drummer/songwriter/engineer Sean Shannon has a great gig. He has seen more than a dozen countries, played on numerous internationally released CDs, and shares the stage with some of the greatest musicians alive, the legendary Pat Travers and Dave Larue.

Sean graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Tonmeister Studies (Music and Audio Engineering) from the State University of New York in 1987. After relocating to warmer weather in Orlando, Florida, he focused on his career in music. He served as an audio engineer on the staff at Sea World of Florida, and played with guys like Les Dudek, Shaquille O’Neal, Bill Wharton and the Ingredients, Beaver Felton, Big Shot, the Heltones, and others. Sean also built his own audio/video recording studio, and honed his recording and production skills by producing songs and music videos for regional acts.

Today, Sean is constantly in the studio or on the road. He tours, writes songs, and produces CDs, videos, and artwork for bands, including his own rock/country band Florida OutBound. His songs have been featured on the Promo Only Country Series CDs, and scored well in the reviews, even “Smash Hit” for his song “Mr. Right Now”. His song, "My Angel" was on the Make-A-Wish Foundation's "The Bright Side" benefit CD. Another of his songs, "Quittin' Time", was used as a lead-in to the Russ and Bo Show on local Orlando Radio. His band, Florida OutBound, has also received awards for their live performances.

Regional acts continue to use Sean and his studio, Cannon AV, for CD and video production, and soon many of those CDs and videos will be offered internationally on the internet. One video in particular, "Pedal Steel Licks for Electric Guitar by Forest Rodgers", produced by Sean for the Hal Leonard/Mel Bay instuctional series, is currently available in stores.

Sean uses and endorses DW drums, pedals, and hardware, MEINL cymbals, Attack drumheads, and Regal Tip drumsticks, and is a BMI songwriter.
