Hey Hammerheads!

In the misc section of the website under the 1984 magazine article is a picture of Pat w/glasses playing an acoustic guitar with what looks like Roger Glover (Deep Purple/Rainbow). Anyone know who the third person in the picture is?

Kind of looks like Huey Lewis...He plays mouth harp on Thin Lizzy's live album from back in the day.

Hey Missing,

That's Pat & Roger Glover on the Robert Klein Radio Show. I had a tape (maybe still do?!) somewhere of Pat's segment, where he played guitar & Robert played harmonica. They did this little improvised blues tune where Robert made up lyrics about how tough the music biz is, and it was pretty funny. It was to promote the PT/Rainbow tour of 1981.

Cheers!

PS Hey Ed, didn't I send you that bit on a tape trade we did years ago?

I just figured it was one of those equal rights issues - if the waitresses get to walk around topless, the band members should be able to do the same.

I just heard on Paul Harvey this morning (yep - he's on in Korea also) that somewhere back in the US a place is being sued (I want to say it's a bassball park or something like that) for violating the rights of its female partrons because they... hold onto your seats... don't have equal access to the men's latrine.

And on that note - have a great week everyone!

Hmm, topless Zepagain? Well, if that's what it's gonna take to get the ladies to follow suit, then we'll just have to comply, for the common good!

Hopefully, it won't come to that...

Reminds me of a little ditty I got in an email last year. Here goes:

As we all know, the Taliban considers it a sin for a man to see a naked woman who is not his wife.

So, this Saturday at 2:00 PM (GMT) all American women are asked to walk out of their houses completely naked - to help weed out any neighborhood terrorists. Circling your block for one hour is recommended for this anti-terrorist effort.

All men are to position themselves in lawn chairs in front of their houses to prove they are not Taliban, demonstrate that they think it's okay to see nude women other than their wives, and to show support for all American women.

And since the Taliban also does not approve of alcohol, a cold six-pack at your side is further proof of your anti-Taliban sentiment.

The American Government appreciates your efforts to root out terrorists and applauds your participation in this anti-terrorist activity.

God bless America!

REMEMBER - THIS IS A MATTER OF PATRIOTIC DUTY!

Check the Led Zepagain guestlist; I should be able to put you both on it. And spread the word to everyone else you know! :-)

See you there!

Well, I finally got "Power Trio". I also picked up the Millinium thing from Polydor. I really like Power Trio! I really feel like Pat had something to prove to some of his critics with this release. It ROCKS HARD! It's got me even more juiced for the originals that we all crave. Keep the faith. PT can still do it (as if there was any doubt).

I didn't bother with the Millenium CD, any interesting liner notes in there? I just didn't feel like paying 12 bucks for stuff I already had!

Well, you prompted me to do it. Probably the best liner notes I've read on PT. Talks about his versatility and willingness to experiment with his music. Talks about Pat downplaying the guitar hero image and about being more concerned about the overall sound rather than showcasing his individual abilities. Says that Travers and Thrall were more into the reggae and experimental music than were Mars and Aldridge. Also says that Pat admits that "Hot Shot" is his least favorite album and the only time when he attempted to sound "current" and that the music was somewhat compromised so that it would hopefully be more successful commercially. Overall, it was very thorough and how a diehard PT fan would talk about Pat's career. Of course the problems with Pat and Polydor are skirted with not much detail.

Every time I read a retrospective like that it makes me mad as hell that Pat didn't get the props he deserved. Polydor could have done better in promoting Pat. I'm sure lots of others feel the same way.

Ed,

You ain't jokin'... I had that damn W32Blaster virus in my comp. I would boot my computer, but shortly after booting up, if it was connected to the external modem, a little box popped up and said I had 60 seconds to close all programs before the system was automatically rebooting.

I used a Symantec fix to clean out the virus and the Windows patch to fix the Microshaft glitch.

I bit the bullet and now use McAfee's paid anti-virus subscription service.

Hey all, been away for awhile. I just recently picked up a double live PT album that was recorded in August of '80 on the Source radio program. It came complete with program format for the DJ that broadcasted the program and A&W Root Beer commercials in between sets. Any one ever seen this one or heard of it. I would assume it is a rarity.

Ebrecht,

I have a few different PT radio show LP's, but not that one. That sounds like it might be the same show that's been released on the BBC In Concert CD. What songs are on it?

Randall, we may be on as early as 9:15 tomorrow! They're a bit messed up over there at Canes! We won't really know till we get there, so hopefully, you can get over there by 9 to be sure!

Brian, I have the BBC CD and that was a different show. This one was recorded in California, in Pat Thrall's home town. The reason I know this is because at the end, PT tells Thrall that he was born in the right part of the world. I don't have access to the album right this moment, but it does have all the usual songs normally found on all the live stuff, with the exception of Statesboro Blues. That one really smokes!!

Thanks for the info Ebrecht. That one, I'd suspect then, is from the Warfield Theater in San Francisco, on the Crash & Burn tour. That show was broadcast locally live as it happened, and later made into a syndicated radio show.

I remember that one well, since I saw the show the night before, in Oakland, which was such a good show, they even did an extra encore of Makes No Difference. I couldn't wait to record the next night off the radio (which I did), but was upset by the crappy mix that went out. The show was kind of lackluster starting out, but got better. They were clearly having monitor problems, as Pat got off time with the rest of the band near the beginning of Hooked on Music, which lasted through most of the first verse, before they finally got all back on track!

Statesboro Blues at the end definitely does rock, with a great bass solo from Mars!

Of course, I could be wrong, and maybe there was another 1980 CA show recorded?

Cheers!

Hey Ebrecht, We have that show fully mastered on CD (naturally). We just have never tried to sell it. Yet. We have a TON of other CDs also. We just increased the price of our existing CDs to slow down the sales. This is partly due to that we wish to FINALLY get out some of this killer rare recordings. We literally have hundreds of hours of music. We recently got a bunch of ultra killer sound boards from "an unamed source" VERY kileer and VERY rare. We are just trying to figure out how to package it all so it makes sense. DVDs are another thing we are going to get to also. Sooooo many videos we have located that must be seen by all. Again we just want to put it all together so it makes sense. On another note... that virus IS a pain. I am getting return emails (supposedly) saying my email is infected. However my computer is off and so really the virus is just attaching our address to someone elses mail. Pain in the butt! Several hundred every day! I am sooo careful though. No way am I getting hit. I never open any attachments with out a full scan AND I update daily!

Jim,

Thanks for the offer. I use McAfee because I finally figured out that Norton somehow messes with my DVD burner. I was getting a lot of bad burns and could never burn at 2X when Norton was installed, but as soon as I uninstalled it, it started working perfectly.

I was desperate for some anti-virus protection, so I got the McAfee trial version (good for 30 days - and then no more updates - although it kept working with whatever updates it had up until that point). It was $34 for the year and it updates itself automatically.

The US Army is smart about one thing - its licensing agreement with Norton allows anyone on active duty to download Norton anti-virus and use it on the home computer. They do this because so many people were taking work home with them and bringing back infected files that it only made sense.

The show at EQC on Friday was awesome. Good mix of old and newer stuff. Thought that things were going to suffer because it is a 3 piece band now, but you couldn't have put more music on that stage if you had 2 more people up there playing. Totaly awesome show. I am sure being in the second row made somewhat of a difference too. Does anyone know what that big effects box Pat is using these days? Robert Planterbox was fantastic too, complete with gyrations, shrugs and Plantlike wailing! Drummer looked and sounded alot like Bonzo, and the John Paul Jonesalike is about two feet taller but right on with the bass licks. If you EVER get a chance to see Steve Z in either band or both, DO IT. The Zep singer showed up ten minutes before the gig, so Steve was sweating it but things worked out in time for an awesome show. WOPink played for two hours! Told Steve I split just a tad early after consuming about a hundred Heinekens -- yes, Sunday morning was a bit rough but what are ya gonna do . . . GREAT GIG!!!!!!!! Just heard about ginbels emails from a PT family member who loves ginbel as much as I do. I told him to lose my numbers, but I can't get the slime to remove itself. Ginbel has pulled my chain for the last time. Ed take me off the Yahoo club, so ginbel doesn't leave his drunken, stoned messages. Life is too short to be subjected to his negative, jealous ridden energy. Thanks!

All of the PT family members that showed up to my gig said it was quote "the best, most well organized PT gig they have ever seen" and that Blu took great care of them". This is me. This is the way I am. I would like to invite anyone who came to my Tahoe show to expound on what they saw with me versus what Ginbell says about me. It's time to speak out. Tell us all what you thought of me after meeting me and seeing me in action at the Tahoe show, good or bad I won't be offended. Ginbel says everyone that went to my show "hates me". Let's hear about it. If you know anyone in the Wishbox band then feel free to give them a call: Mark and Pat Jones, Grandma Jones, Ben Street, Sal Bartolo or PT himself. This is the last time I defend myself against your bad, destructive energy. I have never met you, but for me...You do not exist....and PTB would not like to hear about what you say and do behind the scenes.

Ginbel, You hate me because you burned me on product and because I made it public PT knowledge on this board. Anyone that could tick off Ed the way you did in such a grand manner really tells a true story about the way you operate. You are a two bit crook and even a two bit crook will befriend a few people with less crooked actions. You think you can take me, then take me!! I will though, talk to Tony Lo about your overweight loser spin and see what he suggests. Out here on the west coast, noone likes you gumball. Get the message? Quit bullshitting your friends and people on this board about me as they know only what you tell them and have never spoke with me or met me. Produce your CD's and I will produce my live concerts. I can't understand why a wise man like PT would ever associate with negativity like you. He doesn't need the grief just to get a few free copies of his out of print work. My thinking is that someday (hopefully sooner than later) you won't be producing anything for PT and that his new record company deal will take over production and distribution. My concert was total positive energy and that's what we like on the west coast. Read the Keep Out Sign dude.

Blu - two things...

I can't remove you or anyone from the Yahoo board. It's not my board. And besides what would removing you do anyway?

ALSO - please do not put me in the middle of whatever it is you two got going on at this point in time. I don't want my name dragged into this no way no how!

And for future reference I want to be left out of any infighting that does go on around here. I catch too much sh!t as it is. It's almost becoming a weekly occurance and I don't have the time nor energy left to deal with it.

Oh and a word of warning to both you guys!!! I don't know what happened (this time - and I don't want to know!!!)but don't drag this board down with it. I won't allow that. Afterall I do have control over who posts here....

Thanks for your cooperation.

So Blu don't read anything negative into my last two posts.... I was in no way trying to disclaim or discount what you posted earlier.

I'd just prefer not to mediate yet another crisis...

Although I could do a bang up job solving the Middle East crisis... but the UN hasn't called me yet. They're probably just waiting to notify the Nobel prize commitee...

I want to add to that. We are all here to help Pt out in a big way and we all love Rick and Eric. I do not even know who ginbel is but to the fact that he helps Pat out too. We can all get one thing accomplished by just keeping negativity off this site and just all being there for one another when need be. Blu please keep my name off this site when it comes to Ginbel I have no problems with anyone and I do not want to get involved with petty scuffles like yours. Whether it be Rick and Eric and we are working on some big things for the real pt band early 2004 that will be cool TLO is always working for PT. or my band or any other band PT plays with we know one thing there is alot of good music being played and someday you will need a friend like PT to talk to so lets all build the bridge we can walk on and rock forever!!!!!

Thanks

Thanks for the talk TLO. I will not let him(it) get to me and I appreciate your support. I will not involve you and I will not involve myself. I won't let it get to me. Let's keep the PT thrill going on the west coast. Tony speak out please! Gary Hoey? (sp). I heard some tracks - he is excellentnd primed for a guitar party in Reno. Daryl your wide angle lens seems to have made us all "overweight losers" PT looked overweight in your pic, but thanks to Scott for your clean Pic of me and Pat. We look for real in that one. PT's guitar muscles are bulging (hey hah). I will blow up the Scott pic and send PT a copy. You are a heck of a photographer with that instamatic. It seems that with Daryl shooting five feet upstage it makes us look 200 pounds heavier (lol truth) and I'm only 5"4, 230lbs. Once again thanks to all who helped on the Tahoe gig, PT's greatest show of the year right along with the NYE, which is steeming up to be one of the greatest productions I've been privy too on the west coast. Sorry east coast fans about us on the west coast having to many incredible gigs. Get your frequent flyer miles in line and come out to see us, email me and your my guest. Everyone should use the same advice Rick and I were given from Pat in regards to a certain person that posts on this site. " He doesn't exist." He is a compulsive liar and a drain of any and all positive flow on this board. I promised Pat I would NEVER mention his name again, so I will just leave it at that.
On another note.....Ginbel....thanks so much for the new shipment of C.D.'s we sold all but 9 of them. Pat was just commenting on the plane on how nice it is to have these done for him. I need you to contact me as soon as possible. We have a show coming up in Virginia on the 1st of November and I need to discuss a few things with you about the show you were putting together for us. I hope Nancy is well and I look forward to seeing you both real soon.
On a final note. ROCKPIG AT MY SHOW and I did not get to meet him!!!! I can't believe I didn't get the one guy on this board who never failed to make me laugh my ass off. Man what a loss for me. Maybe next time huh?
Thanks so much for everyones kind words at the shows last weekend. It was pretty awesome seeing a woman crying the entire set because she was enjoying it so much. Boyband style.....! Any way good night. ERIC

Hey Eric & Rick (and Bette)...

Sorry I wasn't able to hang around after the show to meet up with you. My parents arrived for a two week vacation from back East that very same day, and it had been quite a while since I last saw them. I was in a jam about what to do, because it is so rare that you guys get out here to the Northwest, but I wasn't about to NOT see my parents either! So what I did was pick them up at SeaTac airport, took them to dinner, then dropped them off at a family friend's house so they could visit them for a few hours while I hauled ass to the casino just in time to catch your set (actually I missed most of the first song). Then I had to drive back to Seattle and pick up my parents so my friends could get to sleep. We then did a 2 hour drive to my house that same night. Needless to say my parents were dog tired when I finally got them to my house! But at least I got to see the show! My folks are great and were very understanding about everything. My father is also a musician, so he didn't need to hear any explaining from me. As I said in my earlier post, it was reassuring to see the "real" PTB again. Next time we will DEFINITELY hook up! Eric, it wasn't you that missed out, my friend...it was me! Thanks again to you , Rick & PT for the terrific show. Loved the energy you had that night. Bette....we'll hook eventually!

And as alway....the "real" PTB is King!

Hey Rich,

Actually I did make one quick attempt to say hello to them, but the security bozos were a little indignant that night and I was really pressed for time, so I didn't force the issue or make other attempts through more crafty persuasions. I knew I had to get on the road back. Besides, I'm sure I'll get another chance next time. Maybe I won't be in such a tight jam then and I'll be sure to keep the boys out all night! Ha! The new business is finally off the ground. We just mailed out 20,000 mailers to our previous patients informing them of our new business, one of them who is a local news anchor that will be doing a small "local interest" story on us that will run on the evening news, and we just finalized details on a 1/2 page full color ad in the yellow pages (damn, that was expensive!). So things are finally underway after 3 years of planning & preparations. Can you say LONG HOURS AHEAD???? LOL! Howdy Nancy!

P.S. What's that famous quote? "Don't let the bastards grind you down". It's time to resolve issues or move on....'nuff said.

Eric & Rick....next time will be a serious after show party! Be ready! Ha!

And as always...PTB is King!

If that certain person didn't exist, then why did the concert go on July 26? Pat's known me for 18 years and remembers good things more than bad things. Pat is kind hearted. He forgives and forgets tedious matters. Why don't some people (no names) get that message? Pat was his normal stellar individual at my show. He and I had several little chats and that we could look eye to eye again and have him see me as the professional promoter he thought I was made me feel good. I am positive he is happy with me. We got some great pictures together - thanks Scotty! Pat sure made my wife feel wonderful, almost squeezed her to death, but Pat is a loving guy when he feels good about you. Let's keep it this way, I like it. It was my goal to have him see me this way as a couple of folks here still have bad feelings for nothing.

Hey Freightrain, how have you been since I saw you last? It was nice booking you last Sept 1, 2001, you and Rick were definitely hot. I'll never forget Rick's Norweigen Wood Solo - wow. Whatever it was that upset you, I'm sorry, but remember hearsay is hearsay and cannot be accurate. It's only one side and in a democracy, both sides tell a story. Also, when you have had time to hang with people for awhile you really see what they are about and like, not what the hearsay tribe says. So enough of the "he said, she said". No lies here, never been, no pie in the sky, just love and admiration for Pat Travers and whoever plays with him. I will try to request you and Rick for gigs when I can, elsewise Wishbox does a helluva job filling in for you bro and a band to be proud of. Live and let Live, Love one another, life is too short. Saw PTB for the 8th time last Friday night at EQC in Tacoma (for the first time since late 80's too). Pats virtuoso fingers ripped on his axe all night long and I couldnt tell if he was playing for 400 or 15,000. He ALWYAS give his BEST and that makes him one of the best in my book. The view form the front row was the best and my date was STOKED when Pat ended the show by saying goodnight and giving his pick to her. She let me know how thrilled she was, and I couldnt help but smile all night anyway!!! There's gotta be a marketing tie-in here somewhere, but here in SF, CA, we got a micro brew company called Speakeasy Brewing Co. Here's the kicker, the sales reps drive around in PT Cruisers. Somebody's gotta get Pat and these guys together. I could see the commercials now, Pat cruisin' in the PT Cruiser with Speakeasy crankin' on the stereo and me drinkin' a beer with a bunch of hot chicks around me (well, it's my idea, why not).

Welcome Cool!, TonyD's statement is correct. See the show, buy the stuff from Pat and have him autograph it right there. At my Tahoe gig, PT did just that. It's the full concert experience when you do it that way. A photo op with PT, buy stuff directly and meet with the man personally for the entire experience. Beats the heck out of sending money through Ebay and waiting, waiting and you get no autographs. How can there be any better way. Wait for a show to come to your area. Pt is a showman of the highest caliber and with the meet and greet thing after every show, it's too good to pass up. I'm glad to hear that Pt gets a little cut from the Ebay sales. I thought he said he gets nothing from the website activity, sorry if I misunderstood that. Confusing huh? "Inside Looking Out" rocks on the Power Trio and live. The two versions are pert near identical. PT's guitar shot on the front page here is awesome Daryl. Never saw him use that guitar before - good call.

Freight Train can't possibly be talking about both of you. So which one "doesn't exist"? Maybe Eric should clarify? Maybe not?

I just got word that Rick Derringer and Edgar Winter will be in nearby Orlando for gig on Sept. 19th. The following day PT, RD, & EW, will be in Bainbridge Georgia. I`M GOING TO HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND THE MIDDLE OF SEPTEMBER!!!

Speaking of Winter, a friend of mine saw Johnny last night and said he is looking, and sounding, a lot, lot better than he has in a long, long time!!! Johnny is nearly 60 years old and still has problems with his hip, but my friend, who has seen a few dozen JW shows over the years, said that his playing was really very good! They were recording a DVD at the show and JW and his band just wrapped a studio CD.

Hey Cool... Welcome aboard!

There is a plethora of PT available!

Got to e-bay or post here.

Trading live shows pretty much doesn't happen around here any more. I kinda miss those days... But I'm sure that you'll find plenty of stuff that you've been dying to hear.

Damn... that's a bummer. I hope you get to see it soon. I think I burned that on Tiayo Yuden blanks that are made in Japan, so it's a very good quality blank.

I had a lot of fun making that one - if you want me to do some more, I'll do so gladly.

I've never done it before, but ripping it on to VCD isn't that difficult, so maybe you could use it as a promo tool. Or you could just burn it onto DVD if you're not going to be passing out too many of them. Blanks are less than a buck these days.

I got my new Fireball DVD today!!!!

Thanks Randy!!!!

Awesome job!

Ed,

If anyone wants a copy, can you burn it for them? It would be a lot quicker than if I burned and mailed from Korea.

I doubt you're email is gonna get blown out with requests, so it shouldn't be too much work.

That having been said, if anyone wants a copy, get ahold of Ed or me. It's not a long DVD, but it's great entertainment.

I've been reading posts about videos and DVD's and was wondering where can I get info on PTB video and DVD performance releases?? Also nice would be back catalogs of lp's and cd's and where or how to purchase them. Thanks to any who can help. Peace....

Coolhvacman,

Ginbel (Rich S) is the man to contact regarding 95% of what's available on DVD. I've got one that I filmed and authored to DVD myself last year when Pat played with the Voices of Classic Rock here in Seoul.

It's not exactly a normal concert video though. For the first eight songs, I filmed from about 25-30 away (good sound - nice stage shot). However, after that I got right next to the stage and pretty much only filmed Pat and his guitar playing from about five feet away for the rest of the show. If you are a guitarist, it's a pretty cool DVD. However, if you want to see the whole show, it's not for you.

I've sold copies to people here in the group for $5 (which basically just covers the expenses of burning and mailing out a copy).

To those that are ragging on Rich/Ginbel/PTBROXX, maybe you should take a long look at yourself. Your issues just may be found in the mirror! Pat Travers HIMSELF has fully authorized Rich to legally sell & represent Pat's music on Ebay. If you know anything at all about Ebay, then you know that your feedback rating is a very good barometer to how you handle & treat people in a business-like manner. Last time I checked, PTBROXX's feedback rating was way the hell up there. He's been a registered seller since January 2001, has almost 1,600 sales (almost 1,100 are one-time buyers, which means several hundred have purchased more than once from him). Of the almost 1,600 sales, there have been only 9 neutral ratings (meaning that the buyer wasn't disappointed, but he wasn't fully satisfied either for whatever reason) and only ONE....yes, ONE negative experience that for whatever reason their differences were not resolved. Now, if any of you have ever sold items on Ebay, you know that every once in a while, you'll get that one customer that just can't be satisfied no matter what, and no matter how hard you try. This is also true in the REAL business world for those of you that work in any kind of sales dealing with the general public. We all know this to be true. So with those accurate statistics reported by Ebay themselves, this gives PTBROXX a 99.9% SATISFACTORY RATING. ALL OF THIS IS REPORTED & DOCUMENTED BY EBAY. These are not Rich's "made up" numbers...these are EBAY'S numbers. If Rich was as horrible as some of you say, two things would definitely occur. People would NOT continue to buy from Rich/PTBROXX (and most likely he would be kicked off of Ebay) and two, Pat would most likely see to it that Rich would be unable to sell any Travers items at Ebay (easily done through Ebay if you are the copyright owner of the items being sold). The second point I want to bring up is...Pat HIMSELF is selling Rich's items at the concerts! Now, do you think Pat HIMSELF would allow this if 1) the product was of inferior quality, and 2) if Pat was not getting a cut of the profits?? Do you REALLY think Pat would sell crappy product that features his own music and then turn around and give all the profits to Rich??? Get a life people! I've been on the sidelines watching all the mudslinging for a while now and it's just getting to a point where it's becoming STUPID, just because a couple of people have a grudge against Rich. I'm like Ed and everybody else, in that I DON"T want to know what happened between you & Rich and I DON'T care. If you have a problem with Rich, you have his personal email address...email him there, DO NOT air it out here! The majority of people here have had nothing but positive experiences with Rich and we're happy with his service and the quality of the items he is selling (which we all know are not available through the normal retail sources). There have been enough people posting here about their positive experiences with Rich that they far outweigh those 2 or 3 sourpusses that continue to bring the •••• up on a regular basis around here. To those of you that took the time to tell of your positive experiences (which is the majority) thanks for helping to set the record straight. To those of you that CONTINUE to sling mud, GET OVER IT, GET A FRIGGIN' LIFE, AND QUIT POSTING THE SAME OLD TIRED BULL-•••• ABOUT HOW YOU'VE BEEN MISTREATED IN LIFE! WE DON'T CARE TO HEAR ABOUT IT AROUND HERE ANYMORE!

GOT IT? GOOD!

Sorry to have to put the 99.9% of you great PT supporters through this, but I feel that most of you feel the same way as I do about this and just want to see it all end and get back to the positive experience of what Pat's music is all about and not have to weed through all the "grade school politics" that have been going on recently.

I now return you to your Saturday morning cartoons and your regularly scheduled PT WEBSITE.

And as always....PTB is King!

Sure no problem! But how does one go about doing something like that? I've never copied a DVD before.

Blank DVD's a buck a piece? Where? Last time I went to Fry's they weren't anywhere's near that cheap.

Ed,

It's not much different than copying a CD. Just copy the files onto your harddrive, open up your burning program and select DVD instead of CD (most will let you specify whether it's a movie DVD or data DVD), and let her rip.

Fry's?? I almost never buy blanks retail. You gotta go online and buy a spindle of 50 or 100 if you want to get a good price. Ebay is also a good option.

Rockpig aka Strat:

NOBODY (I repeat "NOBODY") said ANYTHING negative about the quality of Mr. Stansell's 'Pat Travers' merchandise and/or his service via eBay. NOBODY said ANYTHING negative about his eBay feedback rating.

You read WAY more into my post then was printed and turned it into a little (well, actually a BIG childish tantrum). Let me exaplin...

All I, (and I believe Mr. BluHawley) were suggesting was that 'Cool' and any other PT fans buy their PT CDs and DVDs straight from Pat at his shows. THAT'S ALL! No need to go postal, Rockpig. Geez! Go to a PT show, buy a bunch of CDs, get them AUTOGRAPHED by Pat Travers HIMSELF, maybe even get a photo taken with Pat, and to top it off you meet Eric and Rick! This is also cool cause it gets the fans TO-THE-SHOWS.

Ed, my apologies to you about my post yesterday towards Mr. Stansell. It should have been done in private instead on your board. My email explains why I said what I said. I've got someone working with me to prove whether it is or isn't him behind the harassing emails.

Rockpig, I've never spoken with you before till now. I don't know you and I will not judge you as a person from just one post. You stated your opinion and I've stated mine.

Ok, steering clear from the mud flyin' round here...

I'm writing from my hotel in Scottsdale, AZ, where Led Zepagain played last night. Played phone tag with gREG, who unfortunately couldn't make it out to the show, but sounds like he's doing well. Definitely miss him on the board here!

Randy & Ed, I did get to see a bit of the Fireball DVD on a player at work, so I know the disc is ok. Tried to copy it to a DVD+R, to see if my player would read that better, and still no go. Our drummer has a DVD burner, so I will see what he can do with it. I really appreciate both of your work on it!

Finally, let's keep peaceful here! Got enough violence & bad vibes in the world today. I think I can safely say that everyone we know here is here because they care for PT & the music he makes, and that nobody is here to rip off the man. We may disagree about the ways some go about it, but in the end, whether it's Rich & his merch, or Blu & his shows, it's all good, and it all helps Pat to spread his music.

Carry on carrying on!

Cheers!

Hooked -- Pat does Highway 61 and Nasty Dogs. He tripped me out with a vivaldi that ended with a sort of "In My Dreams" (unreleased) ending super tough sounding kind of thing. Before he did that PT said "okay I'm gonna do a little showing off right now". He was in super rare form that day. Looked great, sounded great and played great. A five man band was exquisite, but a Rick, Eric Pat "Power Trio" is equally mind blowing, I know it was my show Sept 1, 2001. The Coach House in San Juan Capistrano hadn't booked Pat in 6 years. I went down to talk to my friend the owner Gary Folgner. He said bring Pat in, it's your baby. I did it and promoted the crud out of the show. Now Pat is playing regularly there again. Last show Gary told me was the acoustic solo. Lucky puds in San Juan.

Rick still doing "Norweigen Wood" solo? Very Hot. My recommendation would be to catch as many PT shows as you can, because you'll never know what he's going to throw into the set.

Rich, is that all it is between us? Well alright then. Thanks for your email. Accepted apologies are very uptempo, positive and better than us beating each others heads in huh? We'll okay let's get on with this PT board. "Peace out" as Rich would say and buy up the stuff from him. What I did get was excellent. I traded Rich an autographed PT CD he didn't have (go figure) for the solo CD. Excellent, no probs there. I also bought two others at the show and they were great quality. I can accept a USPS fouled up deal once in awhile, but once is enough -- I'm sure we would all agree, especially when your'e punchin out your friend and neighbors waiting for that disc to get here (lol). All of my PT CD's (a collection of 27 including 4 of my own shows) are autographed by PT, except the last show, which I'll get from him later. Let's keep up the positive, it's easier on all of us eh? I'm out- Blu
