Holy Moly!

Steve! You must be practicing your fingerzz to the bone! That why we ain't heard from you lately?

I just read the Zepagain newsletter and it says that you're playing 3 shows this weekend?!?

Friday as Bitchie Rackmore in Fireball at Paladino's(!)

Saturday with Which One's Pink(!!) and also as our very own BRIAN MAYBE(!!!) in Shear Heart Attack at Platinum Live! !!!!)

TOOCOOL!BRO!!

I was considering postponing my Modesto X-Fest trip this weekend to give the old Toyota (and yours truly) a well deserved rest. Besides I wouldn't want to miss such a phenomenal feat! So I'll probably see you at all three shows!

And hey!

What's the deal-e-o? No Zepagain show this weekend???????

Ed, all I can say is, "whew!" I went and caught this damn cold, and been rehearsing all week for the shows. Yes, not much time for internet chat! And, you left out that there are free tickets for the Lakewood Hop show on our site! :-)

It'll be great to see you at any of these, maybe I'll make a Queen fan out of you yet! Besides, there's a rumour of a special guest showing up at Platinum Live, who I can't reveal until it happens (or doesn't!). Hint: he played with Pat back in Jan...

Hooked, we'd love to come to the east coast, but no plans at the moment. It's something we may try to look into doing very soon though!

Thanks for being such a big supporter, Ed!

And thanks to all who reported on the NorCal PT shows!

Hello all!
I've heard alot of good things about Wishbox, but could someone please tell me who they are? I'm not to up to date on the "new " bands although I sorta get the hint they are mixed musicians from other bands? (like DT, just found out about that one too).

Thanks

I would also like to second the motion of all of us PT worshipers to try to find a mutual meeting spot and putting faces to some of us... ( I don't know if there is one good word for all of us)

I will totally freeze and won't be able to think of anything to say, but it will be cool just to say I did! I'm so stupid.....sorry, just thought I'd throw that in, knowing you all couldn't care less....

ahh...but we do care...
That happens easily...the thing is to think out what you might want to ask about ahead of time.

I met Paul Gross (the mounty from TV's "Due South" )once a couple years ago and friggin' babbled like an idiot. It was after a performance of 'Hamlet' at Stratford, Ontario and it was just awesome. I was so overwhelmed by the performance I lost control of my mental facilities. Very embarassing to friends and family!

Anyway, since then if I think I may meet someone I try to plan what I might ask about so as not to sound like a lunatic. Fine line to walk though...you don't want to sound like a stalker either!

Hope this helps!

Hooked,
Thanks for the advise......and NO, I'm not a stalker, hooker or groupie....I just like his voice, music etc., besides, I have too many stalkers myself!hah!......I have only respect for the man as I do for PT. I only stalk the stalkers!
I met Mr. Travers and he was a perfect gentleman and I was abviously a perfect lady because he had me send all of the "autograph hounds" away and we had a nice long interesting conversation together alone...totally innocent and I have all the respect in the world for him as a musician which I can't say for any of the others I've met. If he hit on me, I wouldn't have talked to him for so long and I think he respected me as well since I'm not a "groupie"...either that or he thought I was gay or something, right? (this was quite a few years ago)or maybe he was hitting on me and I was too stupid to know or care.....He did tell me I had beautiful eyes.........................

speaking of Glenn Hughes....a friend of mine got a call from him once. Mike had ordered a CD from Glenn's website (I think, but that's not important). He waited and waited and like two months went by so he called up on it. Later that day the phone rang, but he let the answering machine get it...it was Glenn Hughes! He was pissed he missed it. Fortunately, Glenn was good enough to call back later and they talked quite a bit. That's the kind of stuff that endears famous people to us commoners.

Hooked, U2,

I've met Glenn on numerous occeasions, even been over to his house several times.

I can honestly say that not only is he a world class musician and vox. But he is also a world class PERSON. Infinitely jovial and fun to be around, he treats everyone with respect and dignity and like PT always has great stories to tell!

LOL! I am just chillin' and working on another Pat Travers CD called "Metro" It has the Rockpalast show remastered and 6 incredible sounding songs from his 1977 Makin' Magic tour. The clarity and punch of the songs just floor me when I listen to it. The live show was recorded at the very beginning of the tour. So the energy level is really high and everyone's performances are clean and tight! The artwork for the CD and inserts is our best yet! Will be available by Monday. So I have been reading the posts, but not really taken the time to post. Hey Strat I have a personalized Gilby Clarke autgraph for you. We went and saw the Heart concert at the Kahuana. Jammin'!! Thousands of people! Then the Red Room after. plus Cindy was there!! Very cool indeed! Gilby is actually quite good.

Hey Bette! We had a really great time in San Jose, what a crowd. We had a fun time in Capitola, but my friend Mary thought she was part of the security, thanks to Scott, she is alive today! LOLWhat a great little town, I hope to go back there sometime just to hang out. The next night in Santa Cruz was a bit of a bummer, Daryl and I got there late, and the show ended early, but at least I got to hear Born under a bad sign! We only heard 4 songs before the show ended, then Ed and Daryl had to go back to LA, and I had to turn around and drive back to Sac.
I'm looking forward to Tahoe, hope you are still going. That should be a real party!

Dateline: Tarzana, CA July 18, 2003
Club - Paladino's
Band - Fireball - Deep Purple Tribute

The waitresses summer outfits were HOT. Especially the the bartenderess behind the bar stage right. Yowser Wowser!!!! What a set of honkers!

Hard to believe but the band was hotter!

Ecclectic DP setlist to say the least. No "greatest hits" setlist here. Pure Purple all the way.

Perhaps the first obstacle for a DP tribute is the vocals. Brian Jones nailed it. Period. Amazing vocals, outstanding showman. Man can this guy sing!

The obvious second hurdle in a DP clone would be getting by Ritchie Blackmore's stunning fretwork. Steve "Bitchie Rackmore" Zukowsky pulled this off without even the slightest hint of a glitch. In this writers opinion there is nothing better than good honest guitar playing. I think "Bitchie" proved tonight that he might even know what Ritchie thinks while he's playing. Steve displayed some Fretwork Fireworks to the N'th degree that even Ritchie would be proud to have laid down! No BS here. Pure honest guitar is all... it just doesn't get any better folks!

My last statement is hard to quantify so you'll just have to take my word for it. Or get a hold of the video that I shot...

The fill in keyboard player from another DP tribute "Made In Japan" fit in like he's played with these dudes for years.

Rock solid bass and amazing precussion rounded out the set.

All in all a phenomenal show in this small but friendly world famous club in the San Fernando Valley of Southern California.

If, like these guys said, they only get together once a year or so it's a damn shame. I could only imagine what they would sound like if they played together more often than every twelve months.

Slideshow

FIREBALL ROCKS!

Randal and anyone else, the offer is still out, we are bringing our boat up Friday Morning! We plan on being out on the lake all day Friday! Email me if you are interested and I will give you our cell #'s so we can connect!

Tony, I know you said that you and Pat are flying in on Friday so call us! Russ and Teresa (if she is able to come) are hopefully going with us also!

Really looking forward to this Tahoe trip, should be perfect weather, venue and company! Blu, I hope you are relaxing (which I know you are not!), this is going to be an awesome weekend! Hopefully we will all connect for dinner!

Until Friday, everyone enjoy! Oh yea Steve, looks like you had an awesome time on your show! You keep pretty busy too, the hubby's benefit concert went off great! A lot of HA's showed up, good group, very generous, raised a lot of $ for the family/medical expenses! Hope to see your band some day. My sister (Arleene) her ex-boyfriends band from LA is playing up here at the Kingshead in August, they are a Rolling Stones Tribute band, called "Sticky Fingers". They are a lot of fun, hopefully your band "Zepagain" will make it to Northern California!!

Out of here, daughter has her Championship Swim Team Awards Ceremony (they came in Second yesterday!!).

Have a great week everyone and hope to see some of you in Tahoe on the boat!

Hey!

Sorry for the delay in posting a review of the Sheer Heart Attack/Which One's Pink show last Saturday evening. The lack thereof was mostly due to sheer exhaustion. :)

I've seen Which One's Pink on numerous occasions and this past weekend's show was the best yet. Maybe because they added a new second guitarist or maybe it was the packed house, or maybe it was just the good honest sounds, but whatever the reason I truly enjoyed Saturday night's perfomance.

The real reason that I went to the show was to check out Sheer Heart Attack a Queen tribute. Queen is probably one of my least favorite bands of all time. But since my good buddy Steve plays guitar so well and surrounds himself with some of the finest musicians anywhere - I figured I'd give it a try. And I was more than pleasantly surprised! I loved the energy that the show produced. The lead singer was everybit as animated as Freddie and a powerhouse of a singer. Lots of fun to watch as he worked the crowd. It seemed as if he wanted everyone in the audience to participate as much as they could in each and every song.

Steve you nailed every single note. No Brian MAYBE here folks. You continually impress and each time I see you weather it's in Zepagin, Pink, Fireball or Sheer H you play with an honesty that not only recalls the original brilliance of the songs but you also have the rare ability to interject your own tasty licks WITHOUT detracting from the original one bit. Awesome guitar. Simply awesome.

The honesty in your performaces is not only found in the fretwork frenzy that you lay down but also in the effort that you put into looking the part that you are playing. I have to wonder where you get those wonderful outfits that you wear. You not only sound the part but look it as well!

While you didn't quite make a Queen fan out of me on Saturday night... I can now appreciate more what people might have seen in Queen. So much so that I can already say that I'm looking forward to the next Sheer Heart Attack gig!

Thanks for a couple of nights of GREAT Rock and Roll Steve!

In closing:
Folks, While Steve is quite modest and usually doesn't toot his own horn. I don't have any problem tooting for him! So I'd just like to say that I think Steve is one of the finest guitarist I've ever heard. No BS.

The only thing is the more I hear Steve play all of these other guitarist's stuff the more I'd really like to hear him play some SERIUOS PT!

PS - No slide show for this gig... I was tasked with videotaping all night.

It will be a summer like day around 80 degrees with cool breezes blowing off Lake Tahoe this Saturday. Bad Company, Pat Travers and The Blindside Blues Band. This event will ROCK. The Tribute to John Lee Hooker on Sunday will be as much so impressive. Robben Ford is primed. John Lee's Daughter--Zakiya Hooker will be an extreme blues delight. Have a good day everyone!!!

Ed, thank you, thank you, thank you!
Those are some great reviews, I've shared 'em with all the guys in the bands. Thanks for the great Fireball slideshow too! Do whatever you like with your Fireball video (as long as I get a copy!). Randy, you're welcome to have a go at it. We were real pleased with the show, and Andy did a great job filling in on keys. Our regular keyboardist is getting better, and may be out here mid-Oct, so we may try to play again then.

Thanks for coming to check out what the Queen experience is all about, too! We leaned heavy on the hard rock side of Queen, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. A few missed parts here & there, but we only had one rehearsal with the keyboardist (same guy who did Fireball), and one more without him!

We were jazzed to have Chris Thompson, of Manfred Mann, join us to sing The Show Must Go On. Nuno Bettencourt had said he might come by, & we were going to make sure to get him on stage if he did, but unfortunately it didn't happen.

TCF, I know Sticky Fingers VERY well, they call me to sub on guitar with them when one of their guys can't make it. I've played with them quite a few times. And, I think this may be one of those "it's a small world" moments; does your sis, Arleene, know Jeffrey, my drummer from Sheer Heart Attack? Did she come up to hang with us at Konocti Harbor about 7-8 years ago? I think I know her! Then again, I could be wrong...

Everyone have a BLAST in Tahoe this weekend! Wish I could be there!

Once again Ed, THANKS!!
Cheers,
Steve (recuperating...)

Sure would be nice if PTB would return to upstate New York (Clifton Park -Northern Lights). Have not seen him up here since '98.

When I filmed Pat with the Voices of Classic Rock last year, I left the camera running at the end of the show to catch Pat's conversations with the fans while he was signing autographs. One of the fans asked him about concerts in NY. Pat said something about playing the Paladium back when it was a "real place."

Steve: Yep, her sister (my other sister-in-law) Jeannette was the manager of the bar there, she lived in Lakeport for 20 years or so and owned a store called Seductions along with working at Knocti Harbor. Arleene was dating the singer of Sticky Fingers, I believe his name is David? Arleene is a tall blond, great personality!

We are really looking forward to Tahoe, we are making it into a mini vacation. My husbands family from Reno is going to meet us on friday to go out on the boat! Should be a lot of fun!!

Hey Randy,

I noticed that (as I got that DVD from you -thanks again on that one). The Palladium he's referring to is in the city (NYC). About 3 hours north of that and you've got Clifton Park. He use to play here almost every year. Now, nothing since 1998. We are so jonesin' for PTB up here it hurts! I've mentioned this here before. Even to a promoter on this board (Texas Rich I think?) who was trying to book Pat anywhere and everywhere, but still nothing. Come on Hammerheads! Feel free to chime in on this one. Even nothing in Ginbel's neighborhood (Delaware/DC area).

Sorry I just got your voice mail today, I check that thing about once a year I'll try to call ya tomorrow, coz it's late tonight, I just got back from a trip to Daryl's, about 8:30,by the time I finally got home it was almost 11. Too late to call.
Can't wait till Tahoe.......cha ching. Great fun. Tried to get a room at the place you are staying , but they were a little pricey, and we are trying to save our duckets for Hawaii. So we went cheap on the California side. We are right at the border.
Hey TCF.. how big is that boat anyway? Hopefully your family isn't Mormon or Catholic' or from the deep south :-0 You might need another boat os six.

Posted on Thursday, July 24, 2003 - 08:59 am:

Hey MissingMars,

That would be Chase Chitty. He was with Pat during the Hot Shot Tour, and was subsequently replaced by Barry "Blatz" Dunaway. I know that Chase has also worked for a short time with Derek St. Holmes, but other than that I'm not familiar with anything else he's done (other than DJ at a strip club).

S & Ehm....Yep, I know I need to take a road trip. I'm looking at the Portland gig if I can get a confirmation on who is playing with Pat. I've asked on this board before (a couple of times) and I never get an answer, so I'm not sure how I'm gonna find out! Won't be able to make the Tahoe gig to give you a hand...I'm about 3 weeks away from opening an Optemetric clinic here in Yakivegas, which has been 3 years in the planning. All my time has been devoted to that (much like you and your PA project!) which is also why I haven't been posting lately. Busy time!

For all you other Hammer & Hummerheads in the San Juan Capistrano area....Daniel Lanois is scheduled to play at the Coach House on Aug. 28th. Do yourself a favor and check him out.
I was at his website searching for what day he's scheduled to play at this year's Bumbershoot Festival here in Seattle and spotted that gig at the Coach House, and wanted to pass it on to all of you that might be able to make the show. Daniel IS NOT a rock & roll guitarist, but he is responsible for some incredible music. He was co-producer for U2's "The Unforgettable Fire", and was producer for U2's "Achtung Baby", Robbie Robertson's solo album (guitarist for The Band), as well as a couple of highly successful Bob Dylan releases. If any of you saw the movie "Sling Blade" and remember the strange, haunting music from that soundtrack, that was Daniel. As I said, his music is not rock & roll, but he creates some of the most beautiful, melancholy, haunting music I've ever heard. I know that most Pat Travers fans are above the average when it comes to being open minded to different kinds of music, and if you are a fan of good guitar music in general, I really think you'd enjoy what Daniel has to offer. For more info about him, or his music, you can go to www.allmusic.com or www.daniellanois.com and check him out. I hope that by posting this, I will have informed at least one person who will be able to make the show that might otherwise have missed the opportunity. If you're in the Seattle area, I'll see you at the show at the Bumbershoot Festival on Labor Day!

Once again, if anyone knows the line-up at Pat's Portland show PLEASE let me know! THANKS!

And as always...PTB is King!

I failed to mention that even though Chase did the Hot Shot Tour, Barry's picture is on the album sleeve, but that he didn't play any bass on the album! And neither did Chase! During recording sessions, the bass was played by Dave Kiswiney (ex-Ted Nugent) on all tracks except two, which were played by Mars. Barry replaced Chase after the Hot Shot Tour. Gee, that's not confusing, is it? LOL!

Anybody interested in the LAKE TAHOE OUTDOOR
ROCK-N-BLUES MUSIC FESTIVAL T-shirts? Pat Travers played tonight and really rocked the house in Zephyr Cove Park. Only a few hundred people showed up tonight, yet they bought up almost half the shirts. There's supposed to be over fifteen hundred people for the ending of the blues festival tomorrow, and the shirts are going to sell out. However, if enough people are interested, we're going to do a second printing of the shirts. If you want a peak at the design, e-mail me at jwwah2001@yahoo.com. I'll re-email you the design afterward, along with the price, color and size options.

Pat Travers smoked em' all at the TAHOE OUTDOOR FESTIVAL. The blues bands today were magnificent. Nevertheless, Pat outperformed them last night. All the T-shirts sold out tonight, and the design on the shirt is superbly finished. On the front of the shirt is the title of the concert with the mountainside of Lake Tahoe in the depths of the guitar. The back of the shirt lists all bands for the two days. The colors cohere to the "Red, White, & Blues" theme. Overall, there were enough people who placed custom orders (for sizes & colors), and we are going to do a second printing of the shirts. If you want to see the design, e-mail me at jwwah2001@yahoo.com in order to request the visuals and other specs of the shirt.

Thanx, I know sometimes my email does not work. You'd think with what you pay for service it would be more reliable. So is the "Stuff" page just down for repairs/changes? Just wondering. On a new topic.... We saw Goo Goo Dolls, Sheryl Crow, and Bon Jovi. Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia, 50,000+ people and we were in the very first row and center 10 feet from the stage!!!! WOW!! Now THAT is a show. All the performers were excellent! Sheryl Crow is way hot and during a couple songs she was singing right to me!! NICE!!! Of coure Bon Jovi was the show stopper. You know, I am not a huge fan, but Nancy is. You can say what you will about the guys, but man they are 100% kick ass pros. John's voice is fantasic. Ritchie Sambora guitar work is killer! So cool to look from where the stage is and look over this screaming mass of 50,000 people all singing along. What a show! Just awesome!

Sorry Too Cool -- I was having so much fun I didn't keep track of the setlist, but it was a change-up! Blindside Blues Band ROCKED, and they are a great bunch of guys. Enjoyed meeting the guys from Wishbox -- you guys sounded great and were fun to watch! I'm looking forward to seeing you at another gig soon. Thanks again to Glen for letting me help out!

Pat's set was delayed a bit by a COOL thunder and lightning show right behind us, then RAIN and HAIL for about 30 minutes or so. But as Blu and Kier (BBB's bassist from Tahoe) promised, the storm blew right past us. Kind of a mini-Woodstock scene! Pat was up for the show, that was clear, and he put on his usual best show!

I'm guessing yesterday was pretty wet, eh Blu? Had to head down the hill about 11 am, but not before having an excellent Champagne bruch at Riva's Grille on the way out. The lake was "gorgemous"! I saw the mega-storm brewing, and got a bit of rain on the pass, and by the time I got back to Sac it looked like you guys were probably getting slammed! Too bad I missed it - I love a good storm. Thanks again for hooking me up - my bright red forehead tells the tale of fun in the sun . . .

Ed, bummer about the rig! We all missed ya

It was good to see you, Daryl, and to meet Kathi! I stepped into one of my patented craps games after I left you guys, which put me up over $1000, then hit another one on the way back to my hotel for another $600! woo-HOO! THAT made for a very nice breakfast Sunday morning!

Nice meeting Ken, Scott and Joe, seeing Gettin' Bette again and chatting with Patty, TCF and Matt.

Strat, as you can hear I made a decision . . . talk to you more later

Bad Company SOUNDED great, but I locked the keys in my buddy's truck so spent their entire set waiting for AAA in the parking lot! funny . . . guess I missed out on some antics from what I heard!

Maybe see some of you in Sac, Portland or Tacoma

Ken thankyou for the ride, and I understand your enthusiasm over Robben, he stomps em!!!!
Blu! Thanks for the passes, good to see the face behind the post's LOL
What a great time we had, rain and shine! The storm lasted just long enough to cool everyone off.
We went ahead and stayed for the Sunday show, we only went to see Robben Ford, WOW! The whole weekend was pretty incredible. All the music was great and better!

Ed..... it really was missing something!!!!!!!!
YOU!
We finally found our hotel, maybe we should have stayed at the camp grounds, probably would have been nicer accomodations! In that respect you came out the winner! I'm still waiting for them to refund the money they charged me for the room that I cancelled!
Hope to see everyone at the August shows!

Blu, thanks! Matthew and I had an awesome time!! Kathi we missed you Sunday, Matthew and I showed up for a little bit but did not stay long, we took a ride to Reno to visit family! We got home yesterday afternoon. What a great time on Saturday even with the hail storm! We took the boat out Sunday morning and cruised to Emerald Bay and took a tour of the castle that sits back in the trees there, very interesting!

Randal very nice to meet you and chat! Bette great to talk to you also, hope you made it back home safely! Kathi and Daryl good to see you both again and in spite of everything (getting to Tahoe, hotel, etc..) hope you two had a great time!

After the guys played on Saturday, we went to Harveys to have some fun and I love my dollar slots! hit a $1,100 jackpot off of my husbands $20.00!! Too much fun!

Tony, we missed you buddy! Matthew will try to catch up with you at the Boston Show Thursday. Wishbox sounded awesome and they all had a great time you can tell!! Pat was on it Saturday night, too much fun! Randal, Blindside Blues were hot!! Both sounding and looks!

Blu, thanks again for an incredible show and it was great to meet Chris! We owe you!!

Hi all! I was wondering if anyone knows when Pat starts playing at the Aug 3rd gig in Tracy, CA? I saw Montrose and Gregg Rolie there, and it's a pretty cool venue...outdoor and all. :)

I'll be there in my Radioactive shirt (if I can still fit into it) lol

Man, I'm still reeling from the show this weekend! All I can hear playing in my head is PT! Not a bad thing, ya know. I had an outstanding time. Thanks again, Blu - you really pulled this one off in a big way!

Geez, my forehead looks like the MegaSpecial at Red Lobster -- don't forget the sunblock, Hammerheads

Strat, looking forward to seeing you at the PatRickERick jam in Tacoma -- never been to the Emerald Queen. Sounds like they are doing smaller sets -- anyone know for sure?

So I'm heading down I-85 today in good ole North Carolina. I pass a car with a license plate that reads "PT PT". So the question is, what does this stand for? Is it: 1. PT Power Trio. 2. Pat Travers Pat Travers. 3. Pat Travers Pat Thrall.

This was obviously a sign from above that Pat and the boys need to get their asses to North Carolina for a gig ASAP! :)

TX Rich,
You kick ass also.....you kept your promise..
that you would bring PT back to Texas before the summer was over!

You know where Jim lives, go to his house and bang on the door......he could be in jail or in love again (same thing). We're worried also...so I'm appointing you the job of finding him and reporting back to us.........

Unanimous2, I think that is a great idea, I don't think anyone has heard from Jim, I, myself have tried to email him to no avail! I think I can speak for all of us and hope everything is ok with him! I know his dad lives here in San Jose, but I don't know how to get in touch with him.

Steve - StickyFingers is playing here Friday in Campbell at the Kingshead (and then Pat on Wednesday at the same place!), thought maybe you might be with them? Let me know!

Tony, you are truly a god sent, we have all these shows with PT this week, first Tahoe and now this...Tracy on Sunday, Campbell on Wednesday, Sac on Friday and Concord on Saturday. Thanks Tony you are the best! Matthew and his band are going to Boston tonight, they will try to connect with you! Arleene called last night and I am going with her tomorrow night to the Kingshead, maybe we will see you there?

I just spoke to his dad in San Jose. He spoke to Jim a few weeks ago and said he thinks he is okay. He is going to get a hold of Jim and hae him give me a call. I told him his freinds are just concerned about him that's all. I'll report back when I know more.

Hey TCF,

No, I won't be with Sticky Fingers on Fri, but tell 'em I said hello! (Steve from Led Zepagain & Sheer Heart Attack) They all know me well. Say Hi to Arleene too, if she remembers me! Tell her her old friend Jeffrey's getting married next month!

Cheers!

PT's new set rocked Saturday at Zephyr Cove Park, Stateline, Nevada. He drew more fans than Brian's Bad Company as was evident at the meet and greet, autograph, photo session party Pat graciously offered to do. The guys in Wishbox turned out to be long lost high school buddies of mine from San Jose. Pat Jones, Mark Jones and Ben Street all went to Pioneer High School with me and I knew Sal Bartola from San Jose. Well as one good thing after another continued to happen on Saturday, PT goes off and play this 101 minute set and the crowd doesn't let him go, As I looked down the stairs backstage at PT, he wearily but enthusiastically nodded his head as if to say "yes Blu it's okay, I'll do an encore", so I turned to the mic and started coaxing the crowd to ear thrashing decibels as PT came out and did Statesboro Blues. Opened with Highway 61, pulled off Inside looking Out and an amazing version of Makin Magic (sounded closer to studio quality) and some of the best versions of Life in London, Boom Boom, Voodoo Child, Purple Haze and Snortin Whiskey I've ever heard. No medly. No The Pain. No Elijah. The cross instrumental of what sounded like a vivaldi with an "In My Dreams" guitar tangent (fill), happily tweaked my brain. We allowed way too many backstage guests and the happy PT family really whooped it up.

I'd like to Thank The Lake Tahoe Entertainer and The Coyote Grill in South Shore that made this all possible and of course, my company Concert Services International. email me at concertservices@aol.com if you want to arrange an event or just to chat.

The Blues draw for Zakiya Hooker and opener Trey Stone were astounding. With the Steely Dan show going on 4 miles away starting at 9:00, people slowly dissapeared after Zakiya Hokker's show and when Robben Ford went on at 8:10pm, the few hundred true Robben Ford die hards, small in number, mighty in heart were treated to the finest guitar virtusoso performance by Robben Ford this year. Robben was amazing under the lights. The 2002 Blue Moon Cd is a real keeper if you don't have it.

BIG THANKS TO KEN, RANDALL, DARYL AND SMOKEY D, and BIG D, for their hard work and help. Nice to meet Scott & Jo, TCF and Matthew, Kathi, All the wishbox boys and their Grandma Jones who turned 80 at the gig and was dancing big-time, Big Tony Lo and all the other nice people that enjoyed themselves at our backstage Party. Good Luck in Texas Rich! - Warm regards, Blu

Hey Peeple! Man! I was on a sabbatical!

Sorry for the worries. I am fine. Let's get me off this board, fast! Ed! Archive!?

I have been funking, up & down, hi & lo, etc., etc. No excuses. No justification. I have not felt comfortable talking to anyone that knows my situation, past, history, etc. I am sorry for ignoring my friends, but I just have felt very lousy around people that know my situation. Sorry. I'm about done with it.

The good news is I haven't been drunk the whole time! That's not to say I haven't drank! I just have not been drunk the whole time!!!

I will contact each of you individually. (you know who you are) I didn't mean for this to make it to the public forum. Someone named Unanimous had that distinctive honor! 'F him! I am so sure!!

I hope to be at the Texoma gig! I am going to contact the ex to swap weekends, as that is mine.

Speaking of pains-in-the-@$$! Boy-Howdy has she been one! Short story: She INADVERTENTLY planned a weekend trip with the kids on my weekend. When I found out from my daughter, the ex said the perfect solution would be to come with her, my kids, and HER BOYFRIEND for the weekend so I could see my kids!! I asked her if she had lost her 'effing mind!!

Anyway, all is as well as can be expected. Sorry again for the madness. Please return to your normal activities.

I appreciate all of your concern. Thanks.

Later...Jim

Man, such excitement here on our little PT board!

Jim, good to see your voice again! I don't know you, but then, we all sorta know each other here. I'm looking forward to your sober ramblings, sure to be every bit as good as your drunken ones! Good to have you here.

Sounds like the Blu Tahoe gig was a blast for all! Wish I coulda made it! Got PT & Robin McCauley Sep 12 to look forward to! Hey Blu, let's get a big tribute festival goin' up your way; I'll get you the best tribute bands in the West! We've done a few in AZ and they've been great!

Cheers!
