I was at Bilston too and really enjoyed just being able to see PT live again after a ten year break; he still sounds great and Rick and Eric provided powerful backing. Glad also to here it confirmed that he'll be back next year. Whatever did happen to Mars? |

Hi Paul, Yeah...they were a bit quiet in Bilston weren't they...see you at the Stables tonight. I'm haven't been there since they enlarged the place so I'm looking forward to seeing it. London was fabulous, tiny club, packed to the rafters. Dave Ling from Classic Rock magazine was there so there may be a review in the next mag. and YES, PT and the band have all mentioned coming back in March/April next year. |

Hi Gang, I was at 'Ozzy land' too last night to see the maestro after a two and a half year break - you guys in the states have it easy!. Does anyone know what Pat meant when he said they will be back in six months? The guys all played ace as we expect although I thought the PA was overcooked a bit (not his fault)- his vocals got a bit'muzzy' occasionally. Still as a fan of over twenty years, I'me thankful we can still get to see him.. |

What was wrong with the crowd at Bilston last night? The atmostphere in Sheffield on Saturday was unbelievable, PT really did rock our asses off. Pat had a few problems in Bilston, but the crowd reaction to his superb band was (in my humble opinion) very poor indeed. Lets hope the crowd in Milton Keynes tomorrow night are a bit better. Keep up the good work Pat. |

Hey Rich Still can't get over the sound quality of the Solo CD. Had some friends over and they couldn't believe it either. Great job!!!! Thanks to you for your efforts on that, and please pass them along to whomever else was involved, especially, of course, the Master Rocker, PT! bill |

Gill here, in London. Just a quick post as I'm off to get ready for the London show (woo-hoo!), but it's great so far. The band seem really happy to be here. They've been smokin' on stage and have been getting some great receptions. Best so for me so far was Cardiff. Last night we got Pats Ozzy Osbourne impersonation...well, we were in his home town. The band have been to Stonehenge and today are gonna take in some of the sights of London. More later.... |

It's just lazy, and quite frankly, a pain to try to read. Would it really hurt to press the shift key once in a while or to use some kind of appropriate punctuation instead of run on sentences? Hey Rich.. Colorful window PTB clingies would be cool. I have a couple car windows that could use 'em. Me buying would depend on final price and size (sold in pairs might be nice). In that vain, my wife and daughter made me a really neat "shrinky-dink" (anybody remember those??) of the PTB logo for my birthday. Turned out really nice. They actually used the mouse pad for the model. ...and under the "wife is truly a PT fan" heading...she called me up yesterday just to tell me they were playing "BoomBoom" on the radio. You have to know that radio in Buffalo sucks so PT gets played very rarely. But, I had to appreciate her enthusiasm!!!! ....anybody heard from Bluman lately? ...miss his name that PT song game... Hey Ed, Thanx for your help!!! Everything worked out perfect. We get by with a little help from our friends! How about Pat Travers Band window clings? Maybe $5.00 a piece? Just a thought. On to other things............. The incredible live acoustic/electric solo show from Henderson, NV. is now listed on EBay. I can't begin to tell you how fantastic the CD is!! To hear Magnolia and Dedication played like that is just phenominal! We know you're going to freak when you hear this CD! Also on EBay is Putting it Straight, Heat in the Street, Radioactive, Black Pearl, Hot Shot, Debut, and the radio interview show "Off the Record". Looking forward to seein' the band play live again(eventually). We'll get to see them at the Jaxx show in December. Hope the guys are havin' fun over seas! Not sure they have time for fun though. Man, did you see that schedule? Almost like having a real job. (just teasing guys) As far as the new CD goes they have not done the art for that yet. We are currently working on the title and art. Not to say they'll end up using it, but we are working on it. You know us, never satisfied with sitting still. Hey have we blown up the Taliban yet. We haven't been watching any news... too depressing and skewed in the Talibans favor. Gee did we really kill an innocent child? Huh, how did that happen in a WAR! I know it sucks, but I figure we can kill up to about what, 6,000 or so innocents before we have to atone for our sins? Soory, just pisses me off, us trying to fight a politically correct war. What a joke that is huh? Peace out, Rich |

Why? hmmmm if I had that guitar I'd play it too. But all kidding aside - the tobacco burst (AKA - Smokey) was given to Pat by Gibson. He likes it so he uses it. He likes the a big fat neck on it. He still uses the double cutaway Standard and is his main guitar. If you're interested in the guitars that Pat is using check out Teresa Tray Mennino's pics...Now that's intriguing! Regards, Ed

Hi Everyone, Having kinda lost touch with all things PT for a number of years, I haven't seen PT since the early 80's at Hammersmith Odeon. I was keen to see the band when the gig at The Borderline, London was annonced.(5th Nov) What a night! The show was one of the most enjoyable that I have seen in a long time. Great sound, great atmosphere, great entertainment. Pity that there were no CD's on sale though-lost oppourtunity! Just wanted to let the world know how much I enjoyed the night. |

Hi Daryl, Great pics from Tahoe...ah, the memories!!!!!!!!!! Our trip to NC is not quite a vacation like Tahoe, but we'll be visiting with Bert's Mom for Thanksgiving and maybe taking a side trip to the shore at Wilmington. You and Ed have got some great stuff on this page. You guys have done a super job. Can't wait til we get another chance to meet up with all of you. PTB ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Cindy, too bad the Chance gig is not total TS but that will be very cool nonetheless. We are going tonight to the Chance to see the Cult. My brother works for a related Theatre and was able to get us on the guest list. It's actually a cool place to see a show, PTB used to play there, but Pat told me last year that the last time he played there with Sean Shannon and Dave LaRue line-up, the management was shitty to them so he won't play there anymore. Come on, PTB find another NYC metro area venue, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

aaahhhhh.......listening to the Henderson Solo CD sure brings back memories! What an incredible show it was, and definitely the most intimate PT show I've EVER seen! Rich, splendid job on putting the CD together and makin' it available to everyone...thanks!!! It's truly a "one of a kind" - unlike ANYTHING in anybody's PT collection. I finally found some time to post my Tahoe pics. If anybody wants to check 'em out, click the "band" link on the home page, then on "Daryl's PT Pics", then on the Tahoe link. I have 2 pages of thumbnails for each show. Welcome back PTB! You guys musta had a GREAT time overseas!!!!!!! I sure envy all the Euroupean folks over there....all those shows, WOW! Our turn in California next month. Yippie!!!...can't wait! Happy Birthday Cindy!!!!!!!!! ...don't let the years catch up with ya! lol! Daryl Hiya Nance!!!! What's this...another vacation?? You lucky suckers! Have a good time, and tell Bert "high" from all of us in So. Cal. |

well, our computer is working again. We feel sorry for everyone who had to deal with the plane crash. We 'hope' it is a real accident, and not an terrorist attack. One was one to much, I think, so no more! It's crazy, we had so much fun with PTB in Holland, and then cruel reality is there again. About Holland, the gigs were great, we saw 5 in one row. Gill, Rodney and André were there also, nice to meet you. Finally we met! All die-hard PTB-fans at one gig, great! Thanx PTB, for the best time we had, we will do this again! Greetings Andries and Wilma! |

Hey Nancy, You know I will have a great time in FL! So looking forward to this trip! The dec 15 show is "DEE SNIDER PERFORMING A NIGHT OF TWISTED SISTER MUSIC" The only TS show is Nov 28th in NY for a benefit concert for NY, the only TS show, until they do a reunion tour maybe. The Dee solo one, he has his band the SMF's, and the drummer is the original drummer from TS, they do all TS songs, and Dee might do one or 2 of his solo songs. |

Hey, Cindy Hope you are having a great day. As a matter of fact, The Dec 15th gig is a TS gig. Should be very cool!!!!!!!!! We are headed to North Carolina next week and will be back on 11/26. If for some reason we don't chat before you leave for FLA, have a blast. We know you will!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Hi everyone. Wow, thanks for all the b-day wishes, nice of you guys! I went out friday night and celebrated some, waiting for FL trip to really party!! As for this "dee Snider" person posting here...I know who you are and I will deal with YOU later! lol lol funny though, Nancy, Bert, You will enjoy the show seeing Dee dec 15! Wish I could make it though. (did you hear of the TS reunion nov 28th in NY?) With things the way they are going at work, lots of cut backs etc, there is no way I could make it. So will have to settle for the two shows in Florida. Hhhmmmm wonder if that band "7th Fold" has a gig YET for when I am there? You ever hear of them? lol lol HINT HINT - need a 7th fold gig, get working on it guys!! Rick, nice to hear you guys are back from the last tour safely!! Looking forward to hearing them stories!! 16 more days to go!!!!!!!!!! Just a "little" excited |

Hi Bette, thanks for the condolences. I grew up in Queens right next to LaGuardia Airport. It's pretty wierd when you are used to planes overhead all day everyday. You just never think of one crashing like that. It's just so tragic. Man we have taken a beaten here in NY lately. Even the Yankees lost. We are pretty tough though, thank God. Bert and I are good, just really busy. Hope you are well. We think of you guys often and how much fun we had out west. Can't wait for the next PTB gig. - Ciao for now....... |

Cindy, you should come to NY for that show. Been a long time since (The Gemini days) we've seen Dee live. Can't wait. PTB, how about the East Coast soon? What's up ya'll, Rick here. We had an incredible time overseas. We met thousands of people and rocked our asses off, but there's too many stories and the jet lag is kicking in, so I'll post again soon. Nicola, thank you very much for posting. My email is Rick1Navarro@aol.com I tried posting from Amsterdam, but apparently never reached the site(maybe because I got on the internet at a coffee shop)...too many stories... HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GILL!!! You're lucky we didn't pull you up on stage and embarass the hell out of you! Thanks to EVERYONE who went to the shows and everyone who posted. Like John Howe said, I told alot of people about Pattravers.com and it was cool to find out that there are hundreds of people who read the posts almost daily who have never posted (probably reading at this moment), who love the music and the experience. Also, they feel like the almost know people like Cindy, Ed, Darryl, Bette, Rich etc. from reading the posts, and say Hi. It's an amazing feeling. Keep it up! Good night for now!!! Rick |

Hi, Glad to see so more of us Brits contributing, I know I have'nt said much before but I've been there reading! Why dont the guys bring merchandise over with them? Its bad enough trying to get PT stuff over here as it is... Hey Gill, I wish I had your job, I could only get to see the Bilston show and if they decide to drop the midlands venue in future due to the 'quiet' response, I may not get to see them at all! I was interested to see the poster on the 'MISC' section of the site as I saw the Birmingham Odeon leg of that tour and the place was chocked to the rafters with PT fans and it really 'peed' off Journey!! (where are all those fans now?) See ya! |

PTB will be playing in Vegas on December 3 at the House of Blues. Looks like the Sacramento gig is happening also & there will probably be more early December shows added. Ed, looks like you'll get that wish seeing PTB 12 times this year with all of them being in Nevada/Cali. You'll most likely surpass a dozen shows! Its been a good year for PT fans in those two States & I've been very lucky enough to have seen a lot of those shows myself. Notice is to short for me to make the Decembers shows but...ya never know. Thanks again Richard! But you know what I like about this site?... I get E-mails from people that I met at shows a long time ago and far far away.... For example I just got an E-mail last night from Tom in IL reminding me of the show at a place called LT's in Rockford, IL Jan '98. Bruce was there - he flew in from PHX, I flew in from LAX it was my birthday - or had been - PT ROCKED and Tom taped the show! COOL! I remember TJ pitching a fit because someone was video taping, I also remember TONS of snow and someone buying me shots of Cuervo then that's about it. After that the memories start to fade That's just one of the many reasons that I like pattravers.com. Ed PT ROCKS! |

Mind? Heck no Ed! I figured you would have deleted it do to the very same thing (cache). I was just seeing what was possible. I do have a request... I am getting bombed with emails asking us about CDs. I keep posting stuff on the site, but people are missing it. I guess this happens because the post gets pushed down. Is there some way you can put that info I posted as to availability and pricing (the most recent post would be perfect)some where on the site? I posted my address and all. People really don't have to even email me. We have the CDs in stock and when we get the funds we ship the same day. Well let me know and yes delete that waste of processing space. Hey, by the way you know of course I have digital files for all the PTB CDs. I have up to and including Hot Shot. Except for Makin' Magic. Just let me know what format and or what file size you want and I'll stick them on CD and send them to you for posting. Of course I have some other really cool PTB art we created also. Also some animated GIFs. Let me know on the GIFs also as to file size and what not. Thanx for all your help Ed!!!! You rule (as usual). Anonymous, And what percentage did Pat get from Polygram, Blues Bureau, Razor Records, CMC International, BMG, Griffin Music etc.? Did you write them and request the same information? What about the last time you went to a show? Did you inquire as to how much the promoter was getting? The club? The sound guy? After all if their "percentages" weren't so high then Pat might get a larger slice of that pie. I guess you pose a fair question though, simply because if we knew where every dollar went on every purchase we made we would not have sweat shops and slave labor producing much of the stuff we consumers consume. But since we are talking PT CDs here that doesn't apply. Pat's happy, Rich is happy and everyone who gets their long sought after PT CDs are happy! So what's the problem? I'm not trying to be rude... But is it really any of your business? Bottom line is: The only person that should be concerned about percentages is Pat. 'nuff said, Ed |

well well everyone, "every one has their own point of view". i was invited to some friends of mine in Delaware for a Pt gig. and had a great time. i Really support what Rich and Nancy are doing, they are "dedicated" actually i had one of the cds they have available in the cd right now, and you can not get a better copy from anywhere else in the world, they have done a lot of good things, they have made it possible for the band to have merchandise available at the show, i have seen it for my own eyes. you know PT fans are the most agressive ive ever seen. i am the same way, because Pt is the guitar player that i have always listened to. i remember when the 8 tracks was out and we were partying back in the late 70s and early 80s if you didn't have pat you didn't have sh#%. Rich works and raises kids and he is taking his personal time to do this and i think its great i have all of Pats stuff on cd, and i couldn't have got it nowhere else, why is everyone bitching? We should all be elated because we still have one of the baddest guitar players ever still kicking ass. any project has overhead and these cds and dvds have come a long way, oh well I have faith in my friends, maybe we can hold it down to a low roar on the sight, lol. well theres my 2 cents, glad the guys got back ok, has anyone heard if Pat is playing anywhere New Years? waiting on my solo cd right now, pity the poor neighbors when it gets here. according to leo tolstoy the 2 greatest warriors are time and patience. peace and out, Richard |

Can we give things a rest and get back to the real reason for this site? THE man with the hottest f*#%ing band? The Gins bust their ass and spend a fair chunk of change of their own money for gear to get set in the position of producing the product that was/has been previously unavailable. Just about everything they have made available was previously unavailable to all of Pat's fans, who were starved for it! Polydor had no intentions of putting it out. The Gins put out top quality product. Pat's endorsement of it by making these very same CD's available at his shows should be enough proof of their validity for even the hardest of PTB fans.....Or as Rich said, ask Rick or Eric. Yet people have always questioned the motives. In a perfect world, the PTB would be getting all the major label promotion support that we all feel they deserve anyway. But things ain't that way, so alternative actions have to happen in order for the music to reach those craving it...Me personally, I appreciate their efforts everytime I play one of the CD's I've purchased from him that was previously unavailble on CD, and knowing that Pat himself is okay with it....Oh, and if you can find me a better version than these, send one to me. Welcome home boys, glad to hear the trip across the big pond was a success! I KNOW you had some fun as well...Heh, heh...yessir. Psssttt! Eric.....Seattle...... Strat |

Thanx for asking.......(your name here).Do you want a complete breakdown including all the costs associated with the project(s)? We have nothing to hide. We don't have a percentage of the CD sales given to the band as a dollar figure. We do not give them cash. We give them CDs to sell at thier shows. The reason for this is much more capitol is generated this way. If they sell CDs, that generates even more capitol. It is an investment. We do keep a running total on what this costs us. As of the end of this year it will be 1 full year of doing this. As of today we are exactly $1,844.53 in the hole. Granted some of this is due to the fact that we have had to make equipment purchases in order to do this project,(Plus we have another large batch of merchandise for the band ready to give them at the December 1st Jaxx show.) However as of right now we don't do anything else except PTB CDs and DVDs (soon to be released). We have no time for anything else....period. We work on this project 7 days a week. Every week, no breaks. Plus we have full time jobs. This takes all our free time and we love it! So in short we can't provide you with a percentage, because that is not how we work. We did not enter into this for personal profit and still do not take any personal profit. I know it seems hard to believe that we could just be doing something nice, but that's the way it is. Ever listen to Pat's "Dedication"? We ARE dedicated. I hope this information has been in some way helpful. We thank you for looking out for the band. Probably the best thing to do is to ask Rick or Eric if they think we are doing the right thing. You can also email them and or speak to them at a show. Once again thank you for your support and your purchases. Profits go to support the hardest, best damn playing rockin' band in the whole friggin' world!!!!!!!!!!! Did I mention..... PTB ROCKS!!! Peace Out, Rich |

Hé Gill Is everything oké in England? Cold and wet, as Holland? We agree with you about the cd. You can never compare voices with eachother. It's just how you feel, what ya wanna hear at a certain moment. When the mood is bad, play Pat. And musiclovers, go and see PTB tomorrow, have fun in Orlando! Thanksgiving? Well, have a nice day then! Andries and Wilma. |

Hi BG, I just wanted to disagree with you...SOHK is one of my absolute favourite PT albums. It's has so much variety and the songs are all excellent. Via Veneto is just beautiful and I don't think there's a duff track on the album. As far as Dont Say You Love Me goes...well Jerry does sing most of it, and as for the part that Pat sings..I really like the way he sounds, it's kind of low and smoky, not strained at all. There was a huge British tour for that album and I saw eleven shows. The whole band was great, Mars of course and I really liked Jerry and Scott too. I have the Riggs album somewhere... |

I just received the cd "School Of Hard Knocks" which I won on Ebay. Frankly I was disappointed in the songwriting and production compared to Pat's earlier work like Putting It Straight and Crash And Burn. I particularly wanted to check out Jerry Riggs'songs. For anyone who saw Jerry when he played with Pat, it's well known that he's a top notch player but he's also a great singer in his own right. When I listened to the cut "Don't Say You Love Me", one of Jerry's songs, Pat of course sang lead on this. Big mistake. Pat barely hit the notes on this and sounded strained, but when Riggs' vocal came in, it was like night and day! Obviously, Pat's the man but I think it would've added alot more if he would have had Jerry sing his own tunes on this CD. What Pat generally does vocally is great, but Riggs'vocal range is simply unmatched and it shows. This is purely my opinion, but I've heard better from Pat. If anyone wants to hear a kick ass rock and roll record, check out "Riggs" (Full Moon/Warner Bros.)It came out in 1982. This was Jerry's band from Atlanta. Unfortunately it didn't sell well but his playing, singing, and songwriting are jaw dropping. What happened between him and Pat? |

Hey Gill, i remember those days back when i lived in Glasgow and you could get 2 pints (in a pub)and still get change from a quid. Remember also how 15quid would see you through a weekend of going out at nights and the pub bands would play tunes by PT. I used to like a pub band back then called "non compos mentos", those guys were f#@k'd in the head but they rocked real hard. The bar used to look like a crime scene after these guys played, MAN! they were great. Look forward also to seeing 2000 Flushes Blu and his entourage at the head of the parade of roses in SanDiego on Jan 1st next year, go Blu go. Can't wait till you colonise mars for us all also. |

Hey Gil! Does the District Line seem to be running as far as you've got to go today? Or not? Pat always seemed to have a problem with it and I was wondering if they ever got it straightened out. Lucky for us Stateside they didn't fix that while he was there!! Or you might still have him! I am very envious of you! Ha, Ha, Ha The band is playing a few tunes tonight at Jazz City, there in Orlando, but I can`t make it, drat the luck! Yeah Greg, King Biscuit did relase a live PT CD recorded in 1984. I was playing it last Wednesday during the chat. Don`t go out today to buy it because the malls are packed with people in a shopping frenzy, it`s to dangerous, you could get KILLED! Wait until the evening during the middle of the week. One of the first jobs I ever had was working in a Sears and at this tme of the year, weekends are insane! So your a ketchup-n-ham kinda guy, I myself am a mustard-n-ham guy. |

Rockforever.com wrote:Pat Travers and his band continue to tour and have had a hectic but exciting November so far. While Pat's music career initially got its start in his native Canada it was in the UK where it took root and eventually took flight. In fact, when American audiences first heard of Travers, they thought he was British. So, it's obvious why Pat and his band are always "a hit" in England. They launched their recent UK tour in Southampton November 1st and stopped in London and Sheffield among other locations. After that, they traveled to Holland for a few dates in Rotterdam and Oss among other cities. Pat now lives near Orlando, Florida and will cap off the month of November with what is sure to be a rousing performance in the Red, White and Rockforever series, November 30th at Universal Studios City Walk. To Richard, Gill, and Andries: Thanks for responding with your point of view. I knew I was going to get nailed to the cross after posting the previous message so I went back and listened to the CD several more times. Perhaps it was unfair to compare it to earlier records. It does have alot of variety and it is quite different than "Crash And Burn". I agree, Via Veneto is a beautiful song. The twelve string acoustic is wonderful (I'm assuming Pat is playing it)and it sounds like Riggs is playing the entire electric solo. Pat gave him alot of latitude on this and it reminds me very much of Jeff Beck. The cut before it, Misty Morning, actually struck me the most. Haunting melody, lyrics, great guitar work,Pat's vocal - Great song! I couldn't believe it when I heard Riggs play a bebop line with a blues tone after one of the vocal lines! In my previous post I was referring to the vocal range of Riggs. I've heard him in his own setting. He can hit notes that would put a female vocalist to shame. Yes he does sing at least half of "Don't Say You Love Me". Pat sounds great on the first verse. It was a line later on that bothered me, "If you don't mean it, girl." They are both great singers and I was in no way comparing. They are totally different, but I stand by what I hear on the tune. Sometimes the person who wrote the tune is better suited to the melody. This is just an opinion, that's all. Keep in mind I'm a fan of Pat's like you are. He was a huge influence on me as a guitar player growing up. I saw him in 1979 with Pat Thrall in Miami and he blew every band off the stage that night. I think when he became popular in the seventies, he was a breath of fresh air compared to the players of that era. He's stll a breath of fresh air compared to players of this era. He's truly an original, we all agree. But because I became a pro player and toured/recorded with national acts in the eighties (Firefall being one of them - they were known for great songs and vocal harmonies), I listen to songs a little differently. I hone in on guitars, vocals, production - it can't be helped when you do it for a living. Thank you again guys, I'm keeping the CD, I like it, it will not be on ebay, and next time I won't jump the gun. But I wonder why Jerry is no longer with him. I'm sorry I didn't get to see him in Pat's band. |
