Hey just finally checked out the PT Europe tour pics from the front page, great stuff! Thanks to all who sent those in! C'mon boys, get back out to the Left Coast of the US, we need a fix!

gREG, you bringing the clan out on the 4th? See you there!

And Paul Gilbert has been discussed a bit here, he's just confirmed that he will appear with Zepagain for a benefit show we're doing on July 18 at the Hard Rock in LA, along with Howard Leese and Bruce Kulick! They will each be doing a Zep song or 2 with us. We're trying to get Nuno Bettencourt, as well, but he may not be able to make it.

Cheers!

Hey Rockpig, I will be at the RAM resaurant (3001 N Ruston Way) along the Tacoma waterfront if you want to get together for a beer tomorrow before Rush. It would be nice to meet a fellow PT freak like myself. I am meeting a couple guys there from work around 3:00 if you can make it. Email me at adaylate@hotmail.com and I can get you more info on how to find me. I guess that goes for anyone else as well for that matter. Picked up the new Rush album today, FUN!!! Gonna be a great show tomorrow. Wish PT was opening for them, wouldn't that be sweet...
PS. Still jealous that you got better tickets then I did...

Hey Nitro,

Unfortunately, I'm coming in from the West Lake Sammamish area of Seattle, which is a long way from Tacome in relation to the concert venue, so I don't think I'll be able to make it to The Ram. Thanks for the invite anyway!
Are you planning on making the two Travers gigs next month? Maybe we can hook up there? I think Gettin' Bette & The Randalmizer will be at those gigs as well. Maybe even Darren (Badger) will make it down from Canada, eh?

I'm looking forward to the Rush show tonight! They're playing a couple of songs from their new covers album in the show as well Nitro.

Have a safe 4th everyone!

And as always..PTB is King!

Piglet, I read yesterday that Rush is playing for 3 hours 20 minutes! They're here next Wednesday, guess I'd better cash in my Heinie bottles and make the show!

I'll try to book my NW trip next week. Money coming in by the 15th, so hopefully I'll get it in time to get advance purchase airfare.

Have a safe and insane 4th of July!

oh yeah, RIP Marlon Brando

I saw Pat open for Nugent in DallASS, Texas in the mid-eighties. I can find my stub and get the exact date later. Pat played then unreleased new songs from Black Pearl, "I La La Love You" and "I'd Rather See You Dead" and "What'cha Gonna Do Without Me" from School of Hard Knocks. The tour was actually the Radioactive tour, at least my shirt says so. I believe he had Joey Jelf with him on a lot of dates. Mine did.

Good memory !!

I think this tour was the same as in Europe.
That you even can remember the songs, for me this period was a little hazy.
At that time the only records I played were:
Putting it straight
Life in London
Makin magic
and a lot of Frank zappa stuff.

Are there some more fans who were able to see this old tour ? pls.post

Hey Hooked...Randal's been trying to get that hotel gig squared away up in Port Angelus, Washington. It's out on the northern penninsula. Great area, and you can catch a 30 to 45 minute ferryboat ride over to Victoria, B.C. which is a great way to spend a couple of days as well. I'm sure Randalmizer would be more than happy to see you and your wife at the grand opening of the hotel!

Cool pics. Here's a cool story you guys might enjoy (especially Steve).

My brother walks into a used record store in western North Carolina a few weeks ago. The first thing that catches his eye is a large poster of Jimmy Page in one of his "wizard" outfits. My brother asks the guy how much for the poster. The guy says "it's not for sale". My brother says "why not?" The guys says "I MADE that wizard outfit for Jimmy back in the 70's". Needless to say my brother didn't pursue it any further.

I'm sure that Steve can attest to the fact that you don't find those costumes at Wal-Mart or your neighborhood consignment store.

Yeah Hooked, I'm developing a Marriott Hotel in Port Angeles. It's been 3 years in the making, and I just found out I'll have to wait until spring to get funding because we have to pass new legislation to use public funding. The good part is that it will take me out of liability for operational costs -- the bad part is that I'll just make money in fees and will relinquish ownership. The project will serve as a demonstration project for the new modular design-build company I set up, and since all of the big hotel companies are watching to see how the first one turns out I think I'll be set for life once we get one built. It ain't easy, but it's coming along! And yes, I plan on having the PTB open, maybe with BOC and STEHM (my band) and maybe PT Cruiser if we get that going! Until them, I'm just struggling like everyione else.

No Ed and Greg, the bank/me robbery was not because of the porno sites that I frequent (just jivin'). I`ve held off with the online banking because of hacking. I know of 2 people that have been hacked on line. I suspect that someone got ahold of a check that I snail mail out every month and photocopied it. They then were able to order more checks and have them overnighted to an address about 20 miles away. They then started cashing me out, big time! They were able to get a copy of my bank statement and began collapsing my CD`s and putting the money into my checking account! The bank did notice this sudden change in my banking habits. The bank people said that they did call me at my home number and that I told the bank to give these @*%)~ all my money!!! YEAH, RIGHT!!! I did see these bogus checks and they did do a good job with my signature, but the rest of the hand writing looked bogus as hell. These guys were cashing in on me sometimes 3 times a day! I`ve been so busy now trying to get this identity theft straightened out, what a hassle!

I`m heading out tonight to catch a blues band that`s recording a live CD at a local joint.

These guys were cashing in on me sometimes 3 times a day!

Stalker - A buddy of mine was notified one day, about four years back, that his checking account was overdrawn by something like $14,000! When he asked the bank why this was happening they said "You've been writing to many checks and had better stop." He had no idea what was happening. The next day the bank called back and said he was overdrawn to the tune of $23,000! The next day they seized all of his accounts and told him that he had been cashing/bouncing checks in the area of Pico Riviera, CA and that all of the proper authorities had been notified. etc. etc. etc.

My buddy doen't live anywhere near Pico Riviera, CA

Anyways...

He went to the bank and managed to get copies of most of the checks that they say had bounced, he thought it odd that they would give him a large heavy box but what the hey - When he got home and opened the box he was surprised to find out that none of them were his! Not a one! They were all checks that other people had written on all different accounts.

When he returned to the bank (after making copies) with the checks the bank realised that something was wrong. But not before they suspected him of stealing all of these checks that he had. There were several hundred checks. And they were like "OK - who are you and where did you get all these checks?" My buddy said he took great pride in telling them that the bank gave them to him! The bank knew they "F'd up" from that point on.

What happened was , due to some sort of computer glitch - (they say) everytime somebody in the Pico Rivera area bounced a check it came right out of my buddy's account!!!!

Talk about bank robbery!

Hope you get your chit all squared away soon bud. Hang in there, chin up and rock on!

Hey Hammerheads,

This just in from Majestic Rock (regarding the PT re-issues):

Hi Lawrence.
Adrian has passed your e-mail on to me.
It would appear - and I'm no expert on these things, but the people advising me are - that the problem with these discs is that they were actually cut from DAT's that in turn were recorded too 'hot' and are therefore distorting in the high end. We are currently arranging for new DAT tapes and will subsequently be remastering from these.

As and when these remastered versions are available, we'll be letting people know and sending copies FOC.

Thanks.

Geoff

Hello Friends; When and where can I purchase tickets for the Algona, Wa. show ? Is it best just to get them at the door? Are we going to have special seating like Tahoe a couple years back? Looking foward to seeing old friends and new. Take care, and see you on 7/25. Big Eddie

Big Ed...Don't know where to purchase advance tix to the Algona show. I would imagine they'll be easily available at the door. See ya there!

Hey HOPT, I got the live Derringer/Winter CD also, and I agree, it`s a real toe tapper!

Man, I really, really could use a PTB fix now, but kain`t we all !?!? Where in da heck is Frieght!?!?

Still, I had fun this weekend partying with the locals, until I ordered a Philly cheesesteak sub, and I ended up eating what I now believe was a Philly cheeserat sub. It`s a mean ol' world, sometimes.

Hey Rockpig, I had to actually "Call" ticketmaster to get tickets for the Algona show. They never showed up as on sale electronically for some reason. Tickets were cheap (relatively speaking) too. Hey, this Graveyard thing I started doing a couple of weeks ago ain't too bad once you get used to drinking beer at nine in the morning. Look forward to getting together with everyone that can make the Algona show before hand. Gotta drive home afterwards, so probably best to start early, or start sweet talking the wife into playing designated driver. PT ROCKS!!

RockPig...I think the Bowie live is at the Tower. It's the 2 CD set with him on the cover I think in a blue suit. Or maybe a white suit with blue lights?

The Stalked one...yeah Derringer and Winter rip on that! I saw a concert video DVD, not sure if it's the same show or not as the CD, but they were doing this skat stuff...man..Derringer would play a lick, and Winter would match it vocally...or maybe the other way around...either way it blew me away!!!

Hey all, just want to second Hooked On PT's sentiments! I've been way busy lately & haven't popped in here too much, but it's always great to see what everyone's got to say when I do! (Except that gREG guy, what's up with him...?)

Had a great weekend visiting family up in Nor Cal, caught Rush at Shoreline & Kansas at a free show in San Francisco. Tomorrow, it's Rush again in Irvine!

Got 3 of my own shows coming up this weekend, including a benefit on Sun with REAL rock stars sitting in with us! So far, we've got Nuno Bettencourt, Paul Gilbert, Howard Leese, Bruce Kulick & Chris Thompson all confirmed! Needless to say, I'm way jazzed about this! I definitely plan on complimenting Paul & Nuno on their version of Gettin Better on the Guitar Wars show!

Cheers!

Hey Steve...Sounds like a very fun gig! Remember that Nuno also is a huge fan of early Queen as well, so maybe a Sheer Heart Attack discussion would be cool as well...And then there is that little thing where Extreme had our man PT sing that short pre-chorus vocal on "Get The Funk Out". Looks like you & Nuno should just go get a beer and chat after the gig! LOL!

We got ya covered, Gettin Bette!

Stratability, I think I'm gonna fly into Portland, get a car and and drive up to Seattle. Had a thought that maybe I could hook up with you in Portland and ride with you to Futtbuck and Seattle to cut the cost of a rental car -- whaddaya think? It'd be a good chance for us to get some quality time in . . . if not, no sweat.

I found a motel not far from Futtbuck, and I could probably hitch a ride back to Seattle after the Algona show if you're gonna head back over the pass after the show. Lemme know what your plans are, and if you want I'll reserve you a room too.

Tony Lo or Ed, any idea where the boys are staying after those shows? It would be cool to do an afterparty.

Looks like I can book the trip this weekend! I'm stoked, because I could use a break AND because it's the PTB in the PNW! Now THAT'S a BFD! LOL

Stalker you choked on missing Dudek. The acoustic stuff would have included "I Remember" and "Jessica". Les wants to go on the road badly, but with his band and transporation, he is looking at the same thing PT looks at day in and day out. Can I afford to take that date? If anyone is truly interested in booking a FULL BLOWN LES DUDEK DATE, email me/send an offer at concertservices@aol.com. Les likes the four piece. "Old Judge Jones" never sounded better. "The Deeper Shades of Blues" CD rocks. There are at least five very, very good songs on Les's latest CD "Freestyle", Les performs all of his Steve Miller, Boz Scaggs, Allman hits now live. . . .OH YEAH BY THE WAY, I'm back!! With a new little shelter rescue Puppy. He is almost three and his name is Gordy "Go Go" Holly. I also call him Buddy Holly. In the land of living, we still must work, so I'm outta here.
