Steve, does that mean you're in it?

Yeah, I'm in it briefly! The segment on us mainly focuses on one of our fans, but there are a couple of clips of us playing live, as well as a singer audition, and a couple of interview clips. There's a Kiss tribute, and their bass player audition is totally hilarious! Also a feud between former bandmates of a Monkees tribute that split into rival bands! They unfortunately had to cut out the Journey tribute playing in a strip club, apparently because Steve Perry wouldn't allow them the music rights! B***ard!

Would anyone be interested in Pt's fast return to Crystal Bay maybe May 1? I need to know. Th fans up here won't leave me alone on this. Usually I wait at least 5-6 months for returns to protect the artist(s) draw. Any feedback? - Blu

Regarding the movie "Tribute", the quote below comes from IMDB.COM. Internet Movie DataBase. If you don't know the site, BOOKMARK IT!!! Great movie info on damned near every movie known. I'm looking forward to seeing this movie now after the recommendation from Brian Maybe/Steve Z!!

Quote:

This documentary tells the story of several cover bands. The bands in question include Sheer Heart Attack (Queen), Larger than Life (KISS), and Missing Links (The Monkeys). One fan of Sheer Heart Attack, dubbed the "Superfan," was particularly interesting and scary. He saw everything in his life through Queen-colored glasses, had an extensive set of T-shirts with a long story behind each one, and even had a set routine for show nights.

One was reminded of another documentary about obsessive fans: "Trekkies" (which I just noticed was directed by the editor of "The Search for John Gissing").

Gee JBeseau, that movie review kinda sounds like that seeing everything in life through PT/PTB-colored glasses, having a extensive collection of T-shirts with a long story on the back of each one, and having a set routine on show nights, is bad thing.

I've got a "Voices of Classic Rock" boot DVD from last year headed my way.

It features Jerry Riggs on guitar and Glenn Hughes on vocals. I didn't know Jerry ever played with these guys.

It's described as having excellent sound and picture. I'm pretty psyched.

Unfortunately, my week up in Sac is the week before the boardwalk show, and I don't see how we would be able to make it work, I guess that the good fortune of timing with Pats shows from last year didn't follow us over into this year. I am trying to talk Daryl into going to the Pheonix show though, maybe camp out at the river (Colorado) that would be fun. Looks like No. Cal is gettin Pat again in July, I never knew how good I had it! Such is life ahhhh

Pat was just on the local radio station here in Dall-ASS, Texas promoting his show this Sunday at the Point After North Grille! (or something like that!) Go here Point After to see the Hoopla!!

He said the cd with Carmine will be released in June. He also said the recording was actually completed in January. He sounded good and is excited about his current touring opportunities. The dj's were giving out tickets and "special" meet and greet passes! Pat laughed when they said they were only giving the passes to ladies that promised to wear bikinis!!! Should be a good show!!!

Sunday! Sunday! SUNDAY!!!! Go Texas Rich!! Just got off the phone with Scott! He said to tell you "Hi and that we'll see you there!!" Ditto from me!

gREG -

My band went to see Led Zepagain two days after the James Otis Page visit in LA. They were still in orbit from the high!! They put on an awesome performance -- we were all suitably impressed and rocked to the max. Stevie Viable was very cool in coming up to us before and after the show to chat, even though they had to break down and split. The set list was very tasty and the show flawless. There were two women grinding away near the stage, very much like PT's show in San Juan Crapistrano! (one of those being Jackie, a San Diego Hummerhead who was with us at Buffalo Joe's . . .)

BUTT -- I just got back from a site visit to a potential new project site -- at Swallow Sun Nudist Resort! My realtor buddy didn't get us a day pass so we didn't go in, but from uphill we could see that the tennis court and pool area yielded many Swallowettes!! hahahaha Fortunately for me, I didn't have to see any of the 80-year olds that Bobby warned me about -- no thank you! Guess it's the hardbodies that keep the old farts coming in. If it goes, I'll be doing the clubhouse and some new estate homes surrounding. I've suggested a new name and a marketing slogan for the granite-boulder-surrounded resort -- "Let the sunshine on your boulders at Buns Up Estates!"

Have a blast, Texas Hammerheads! Someone say hi to Pat for me!

Stratmaster Flash, my CFO in MMP Inc., Mike Winter, is coming to Seattle with me next trip. We get in this Friday and head to PA to submit the hotel plans for building permit (to those who have been following the deal, YES this is a huge milestone but NO the money is not yet flowing. Had to do it to appease the City and get ready for investors). We plan to cruise the Olympic National Park on a patented White Knuckle Tour (TM), where my friend Andrew blazes through the park in whirlwind fashion while stopping periodically for a beer and a small brush fire . . but I digress. We'll be back in Seattle Saturday late afternoon. Anything going on in town worth you coming up for?

I can't wait to post! But I will! The show was really great! Pat was on fire! Greg and Simon have come so far with PT that it is not even funny! I'm serious! I've seen Pat with Greg three times and with Simon twice. It's incredible how tight they are together now! I'm not a promoter but anyone who saw them early on and dismissed them...give it another shot! WoW!

Before I go to bed, Pat did say the new cd with Carmine should be out in June! Pumped! (and this is on the down low...Simon and Greg said they would not be with Pat in San Antonio for the River City Bike Fest...I am so lookng forward to seeing the Pat Travers Band on May 1 that I don't think I can stand it! Hi Eric! Hi Rick!)

I met so many great people at the show! I ran into a regular, long time Dallas Travers fan that I hadn't seen in a while as well!! Everybody asked about my PTB2K shirt!! Thanks Bruce!

And Ginbels!!! So many people were buying Etched In Stone!!! I was singing your praises!!! All hail to the king and queen, you and Nancy! I miss talking to you guys. I will have to get in touch!! It has nothing to do with me but I am so proud to be loosely associated with you guys seeing what it does at these shows! I was telling everyone that you will not believe the quality of the stuff you are about to hear!! I didn't get a shirt as I didn't see them. I wasn't looking hard as I was talking and anxious to see Pat! I asked my buddy how is it that a person, me, cannot get tired of one person's music/talent!?

Texas Rich was not in the house. I spoke with the bar manager and she said he was stuck in Houston. However, he should be proud! And I am thankful he is bringing Pat to my neck of the woods! Thanks Texas Rich! And just so you'll know, the beer I bought for you did not go to waste!! I drank it!!

I have some pics from the show. I can't post them as my website has limited me down to nothing. If I take anything off I can't replace it. However, if you send me an email to Jim's Email I will open up my photo album on Yahoo for all to see. I promise I won't keep your email address unless you want me to!!! Did I mention how cute Alicia from Wichita Falls was/is!? Holy Smokes! I have a couple of pics of her! But just barely! You'll get it later... And Ed, if there is one-half of one picture that you want, let me know! They are for all of us!

My last words tonight, there is nothing that compares to seeing and hearing Pat Travers live!! It is first rate every time! He is a class act! And he tore that place a new @$$!!!

Later...
and how....

Thanks for the kind words of truth Jim Beseau..........sorry I failed you at the door my friend. I was stuck in Houston taking care of property deals. We'll be doing more shows in Sept. or October, I'll make it up to ya. Simon is off to tour with DIO, Greg T. is off to create a power trio with guitar great Mike Zito so PT will be smoking with Rick and Eric for the next tour. The fans in San Antonio, Houston, Wichita Falls and Flower Mound shook the walls for us this year!!!! Pat was very pleased with turn-out and how smooth the tour went in general. We all hated to see it end so soon. We have some PT tour shirts left.......$25 covers shipping of a high quality killer looking PT shirt from the tour! Email me for details.........we also have Blackfoot bandanas for $5......20 left. God bless all of the fans that showed up for such a tight show this year and now.....we're off to party with Rick and Eric when possible. You all take good care, support the new Tesla CD and tour..........and I'll see ya at the next PTB barn-dance and BBQ!!

Another Floriduh PTB gig! I`ll always be a Johnny Winter fan, no matter what. By the way, I really did try to play Johnny`s first record to a nun back when I was in a Catholic school. It didn`t go over to well with her. Rick D. has a stunning instrumental called "Rhapsody in Red" and I hope Rick plays it for ya at the show. The first time I heard it was at a show when Rick and Eric were backing him.

That would be it!!!!!

FreightTrain...do you know if you guys will be backing Rick at the Mount Forest gig?

Great to see that Pat will be sharing a bill with one of his favorites, Johnny Winter. Maybe it will give them the chance to jam together on "Highway 61 Revisited", since they've both covered that Dylan classic. I know that would make Pat happy. Maybe you guys making the show will even get lucky enough to have Johnny's brother Edgar show up and blow some killin' sax on Pat's "Offbeat Ride", much like they did a year or so ago? Wouldn't THAT make for a great concert experience?

On another note, I've been doing the Dick Tracy work on the Internet regarding Pat & Carmine's upcoming release, and it appears that the bass chores were handled by none other than T.M. Stevens! If you're not aware of this cat, do some research! He's one of the baddest funk rock bassist out there! This all leads me to think that maybe, just maybe, we might have a really solid hard rockin' funk tinged new release from Pat coming soon....Shades of "Putting It Straight" era, hopefully???? Man, I am SO hopeful! Don't get me wrong, I really dig a lot of Pat's blues rock stuff, but am I the only one that's really missing the old stuff? Whadda you guys think?

And as always...PTB is King!

Forgot to mention in my post below...TM Stevens also did an album called "Radioactive" that came out in '99...crazy, huh?

I'm gussing TM probably landed this gig because he played bass when Carmine did the Vanilla Fudge reunion tour a year or two ago.

I talked to Eric briefly on the phone a couple of hours ago. Since the Cannuck gig has been postponed, (bummer for all you Cannuckians), he, Rick, and Kirk Mc Kim, the original REK, will be playing tomorrow night near Orlando. It just so happens that I`l be in Orlando tomorrow, so.....

Oh man, the Johnny Winter/PTB gig falls on a Thursday! I sure hope I can get away from werk! Ya know, I think I might catch the werk "flu" about that time. Next weekend, it`ll be Blue Oyster Cult on Saturday afternoon, and maybe blues great Buddy Guy Saturday evening. The BOC/BG thing is happening in the St. Petersburg area. Hey Rich, why you be waiting so long to come on back to the "Funshine state"?

Hey Johnny Stalker,

BOC is playing a huge outdoor shed up here in Washington on Memorial weekend with Styx, Peter Frampton & Kansas. Weirdly enough, I saw BOC last year in a worn out rodeo arena in a little podunk town for a weekend biker rally. I could tell from watching from the front of the stage that they couldn't WAIT to get that gig ended and get the hell outta there! Still, to my advantage, I was front & center, and they played (Buck sang) "Harvest Moon" from their "Heaven Forbid" release, so it was all worth it, to me at least.
Funny how one day it's a hell-hole of a gig, and the next you're playing on a killer stage with respectable lights & sound, yet the band hasn't changed a bit, or done anything different!

Yo, Ed. What can you tell me about any backing band for the newly-listed PT appearance at Sweet Caroline's in Winchester, VA on 4/4/04? There's nothing on the "gigs" page that makes it clear. I'd certainly appreciate some info before I drive two hours to see Pat (which is a short trip compared to what I've done to see him...i.e., flown to San Diego). Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Keep up the good work.

Hey, Strat, Randal, gREG, Rich & Nancy, and all, hope everyone's doing well!

Dude!

Tawk-a-bowt-troll-bait!!!

"Harvest Moon" is possibly one of the best songs ever written(.) Certainly one of Buck's finest moments. Although "Reaper" would be kinda hard to beat.

I just snatched Heaven Forbid off the rack as soon as I read your post. It's blaring as I type. Currently melting my ears....

Hey Rich (and Nancy, of course). That's not too bad a drive to get a fix for the "PT Jones"! Depending on our schedule and what we find out, we'll more than likely make the trek (about an hour and a half) to see him and check out the place...there are some sort of "big" names that get there and it's not TOO far. Kind of have to wonder about a club thats name is derived from a Neal Diamond song...but what the hell...Hope to see you guys there. I know Eric was mumbling something about a "VA show" a while back, but I assumed it was Jaxx....we'll see.

Yeah Ed, that "Heaven Forbid" is a very solid release. I was really proud of the boys with that one! I'm with you on the "Harvest Moon" accolades. It would have been a huge hit had they released it back in the day. It ranks right up there with "Reaper" and "Last Days Of May". Buck has a unique talent for writing those types of songs. "I Love The Night" off of "Spectres" is another one by Buck along that same style. Beautifully haunting melodies and moods, with great story line lyrics. Had to laugh about your comment on the cover art. LOL! It is horrific! Very "B grade horror movie" in it's approach. Ironically, I have the Japanese issue, and it has a nice slipcover and different cover art. It has a nice looking blonde gal floating in the clouds holding an open book and a wand with the BOC questionmark/cross logo on it. Much more attractive! Ha! I'll leave you with this line..."I'd like to see you in black / It'd make me think that your husband was dead". What a great tune about spousal abuse, don't ya think?

Anybody seen that "Horse" yet?

Yo Gin Blossoms! Did you ever get that stack of CD's I sent you way back when? It was several early JP releases and a few others that escape my memory right now because, well, it was so damn long ago! Ha! Haven't heard from you, and your UFO post below reminded me. We had discussed a trade for that and a couple of others, remember? Probably not, huh? Because I had forgotten by now as well! LOL! Still looking to move next year? Hey to the "Nanner"!

Purple Carl, I really hope you get Eric & Rick with your PT show there in VA...'cause that's the way it SHOULD be! Good luck!

BALONEY - PT with Wishbox and a second guitar is the way it should be. Unless you have PT's 1976-1979 band then you don't have anything but an attempt at recreation and imitation. How do you perform Gettin Better, Bette? Or Stevie without the second guitar? Backing vocals from the other band members it what rounds out the tunes and that's all I'm going to say and as somewhat of an authority on PT music, I'd say there hasn't been any good background vocals in any of his tunes except, when Monica Travers is singing, like in Elijah. Great with Monica, a complete hack with anyone else. Who could disagree? PT will always make the decisons and anyone playing with him should be super proud and honored. i.e. Eric and Rick, who are great guys, especialy Rick that I know of. Any other attitude is just kidding itself. Yeah that's me - Blu Hawley going off. Just remember, when you go to see PT that's what you get PT, the singer, the songwriter the amazing guitar player. Who gives a flying do da who's playing with him. I'm out.

Whew!

Just got back a short while ago from the Deep Purple show here in Seoul. Great show!

I got the whole thing on film too!

The fans got right up next to the stage. The band could come out and slap fives and were right there only a few feet away. I think it makes a big difference when the fans are right there in the band's face - as opposed to a lot of big arena settings where the nearest fan is 30 feet away.

Yeah strat we need to put together a care package for you. We have been working on a couple things I think you'll like. I have been checking out some of those CDs you sent me(little by little). Thanx for the great hook up! A lot of it I had never heard. There is SOOO much out there. I can't keep up with all the new stuff coming out(am I getting...dare I say it...OLD??!!). Hmmm.. maybe just older. I actually love about 90% of what I hear on the radio. Even all the hip hop. We love to dance, and dancing to rock... well it's just not quite right. I like how most of the newer rock is really punk and thrash with better production and of course a little more commercial. The thing the sticks in the back of my mind is whenever I get to hear new stuff I like it too and that makes it scary to think just how much cool stuff I am missing. Well I guess you can only fit so much in to one life and still enjoy it. No point in over filling your glass so half the beer falls on the floor. (old Irish proverb?). Strat -- I'm with you on the funk-edged rocking jams from 'ol PT.

Eric, since I wasn't named I'm going to say my piece. As an "authority" on PT's music myself, (got the certificate on a box of Fruit Loops) I like seeing him with anyone but prefer the PTB. Wishbox are great guys and good musicians, but even they will tell you that Rick and Eric kick ass! I think I'm on show #17 or 18, but would have to count again to be sure. I have always enjoyed whatever backing vocals Pat had, or didn't have. Some musicians are better with him than others, and Rick and Eric bring a whole new dimension to his mind-blowing abilities. I like the second-guitar lineup that allows Pat to play some of his dueling leads, sure, but Thrall was the king of those duels and he ain't here no more. Blu, one second you're wishing Eric's daughter a happy birthday and the next you're throwing mud again. Come on, RELAX -- this site is about Pat and his music!! Not about OUR personalities. There's enough anguish in the world already -- and no place for it here. I don't remember him writing anything about a feud between musicians . . .

Guess I just fell off the fence. ANYWAY --------

One more thing, Piglet -- is that "huge shed" at The Gorge? Or Darrington? And when? Shows like that bring back fond memories of the old festival days.

Carl, great to hear from you. gREG, I'll have my cell phone call your foot to check in with ya soon! hahaha

The best part is... PT himself has now determined that the ONLY B(band)IS Rick and Eric. Since he is the boss, I'd say that would be the dtermining factor. 2nd guitars can be cool, but nothing(at least for me), beats the old power trio. Naturally, it boils down to preference. That's it. I am now returning to the cone of silence. I can hear gREGs foot calling.

Why do you people get upset when Wishbox is mentioned - remember that's all I get on the west coast. Eric doesn't want to play over here. He turned us down twice now. I guess I was lucky when I saw Pat with Eric and Rick last August at the EQC in Fife?? I thought they were very good together. I then saw Pat with Wishbox at JimmyZ in December. I didnt think that show was quite as good, but perhaps it was the DIVE atmosphere?? LOL Anyway, I saw PTB years ago with Thrall 3 times and NEVER saw Thrall outlick Pat. Hmmmm.....close but no cigar.

On other musical notes, my son is dragging me to see A Perfect Circle in the Tacoma Dome on the 9th. I guess the singer is in another band called Tool. Anyone ever hear of them??? Seems like kinda progresso rock or something??? Anyhow, I'm also going to see Los Lonely Boys in Seattle at some small club on Pike. I caught them on Austim City limits about two months ago before I'd ever heard of them and they put on a pretty good show. Also going to see RAIN, the Beatles tribute at the Paramount. Anyone see them before???

One last thing..........I thought PTB was BEST with Makin Magic, Puttin it Straight, and Heat in the Street. Guess I'm a goner for the old days.........Peace

Hey Coolhvacman,

I'll be at that same A Perfect Circle show there in Tacoma on the 9th. This will be my 3rd time to see them, and they NEVER disappoint. I've been reading very good reviews about their shows on this tour as well. You are correct, their singer also sings for Tool (another great band). Tool is a bit heavier/aggressive, and APC is a bit more melodic, but very powerful all the same.
Gotta admit, I'm a bit concerned how it's gonna sound in the Tacoma Dome. The first time I saw them was at The Gorge Ampitheater (excellent venue) opening for Nine Inch Nails and the last time was in a 3,000 seat theater. This upcoming show will be the first time to see them in a big arena. I'm not a fan of huge arena shows at all anymore, but there are still some bands I'll see in those situations, and APC is definitely one of them. Let us know what you thought after you've seen the show. I think you'll really enjoy them!

Also, I know I'm in a minority here, but I thought Riggs was every bit as good as Thrall in the 2nd guitar slot (and definitely a better vocalist!). Having said that, I'M NOT TRYING TO START UP ANY MUDSLINGING DEBATE OVER IT...PLEASE!?!?! Just my humble opinion....

And as always...PTB is King!

tool Rocks!!! I have seen them twice and they are musically one of the best bands to come out of the '90's!! Their live shows are musically near perfect without much flash. Good video screens and the drummer is a monster! Maynard is the singer for tool as well as A Perfect Circle. I watched Maynard at a tool show sing in a tutu, under a lone spotlight, with his back to the audience!! Almost 2 hours and he didn't turn around once!! A Perfect Circle features a former tool guitar tech!! They are in line, if not in league with tool!

We now return you to our regularly scheduled PTB discussion, already in progress.

What is the best PT album (cd, tape..)? I just bought "Putting it Straight" on CD and this is one incredible piece of work. Back in 1978, my college roommate turned me on to this album as we were both budding guitarists. I am still amazed then as I am now at his raw, clean, crisp powerful sound. So, is this his best album, or are his others just as good or better (Gettin better all the time). I'm more into instrumental pieces than vocal.Any response would be greatly appreciated. By the way, I have layed my electric down and now play classical, but still love those great electric guitatist from the 70's

Hey JSBACH, "Putting It Straight" is one of my personal favorites, along with "Radioactive". For a REAL barnstormer, you MUST give the "Go For What You Know...Live" release a spin.

Others are huge fans of "Heat In The Street" & "Makin' Magic", so you can't really go wrong with just about any of the early releases..

Great to see new posters here testifyin' to the greatness of the Reverend PT!

Wholly sheets!! Missed a hats-off to Jerry Riggs. I have his solo "Riggs" cd - guess I'd better put that on to clear my head . . .

Cool, keep a cool Tool and dig on A Perfect Circle! Haven't seen 'em but listen to them alot. Did see Tool a few years ago with Maynard in a diaper . . . a bit goofy for my taste, but the musicianship is ass-tounding! hahahaha

Blu, this is what I was referring to:

"BALONEY - PT with Wishbox and a second guitar is the way it should be. Unless you have PT's 1976-1979 band then you don't have anything but an attempt at recreation and imitation . . . and as somewhat of an authority on PT music, I'd say there hasn't been any good background vocals in any of his tunes except, when Monica Travers is singing, like in Elijah. Great with Monica, a complete hack with anyone else. Who could disagree?"

Well, me for one. i DID go back and reread your post, and saw that you were kind in some respects but I got a little mud in my eye when I first read it so -- there it is. Anyway, no I don't get upset about Wishbox, as I like Sal, Mike, Ben and Mark on a personal level and always dig seeing them with Pat, but I do like the power trio quite a bit more and consider Rick and Eric buddies o' mine. Camp Heineken was a highlight of my life, and it was a kick to jam with them in-yard and on-stage!! Well, we each have our own tastes but PT is the one who keeps us all coming back, so let's keep it light, eh? Sorry for being the one, Eric, but it had to be said.

Stramandu, The Gorgeous George sounds very cool. Wouldn't it be nice if my deal had funded and I rode over on my new Harley?? yeah, well -- pick me up at he Greyhound Station -- I'll be wearing my gREG cORNETT boots (HUGE bare feet and ankles, for those who don't know him), kinda like what Fred Flintstone wears . ..

speakinofwhich -- gREG -- I will locate the Faster Kittycat cd and send 'er off. Jacob unpacked the package I had for ya, and the contents ended up in two or three different places -- camera and pics at work, cd at home. KIDS! ya gotta love 'em -- or is it 'EHM??? me go home now

My opinions are as humble as any one else, maybe not as, but it's meant to only express the opinion I have been dealt. Randall, why are you sorry? What had to be said to Eric? He sees it all. You are throwing the mud on me and my opinions. I booked Eric on his Birthday in 2001 and the band was sensational. Whatever happened after that was stupid. I'm sorry to Eric for whataver was said in the past. Eric can you let bygones be so? Anyone who can play with PT is great with me. Just wish you didn't have a burr up your butt so we could be more friendly towards one another. This is an official offer to end the stupid feud in front of all the kick ass PT fans. Do you accept?

Thank all of you for your responses.

I went digging through my old album collection last night (gives you an idea of how old I am) and I found "Heat in the Street" and a great Robin Trower album "Bridge of Signs?" I still perfer "Putting it Straight". I live in Denver and would love to see PT live. I have always believed that studio recordings are superior to live. However, since I have never seen PT live, I can't comment on his live performance. Do any of you PT fans know if PT is coming to Denver or Colorado Springs. Another thing that I don't understand is how come today we don't the great guitarist that came alive in the 70's (PT, L. Buckingham, J. Page, J. Beck, E. Clapton, R. Trower, T. Nugent, P. Frampton,, R. Rhoades.....the list goes on). Ya, Dave Mathews is great, but there are not that many today.

Get this, a 44 year old guy driving to work this morning playing "Putting it Straight" cranked up!Ya, me and loving it!

Hey John/PTBSTALKER, Mitch & Kim (where ever they may be these days!) and any other people in the Orlando area that visit this site, here's a show that sure looks like a good time! Not PT related, other than the Glenn Hughes connection, but maybe PT will be playing this Birthday Bash as well...Anyway...thought I'd pass the info along...

GLENN HUGHES - April Velvet Sessions

Coast To Coast, the official fanzine for vocalist GLENN HUGHES (ex-DEEP PURPLE, BLACK SABBATH) has issued the following update:

“Hi everyone, As promised in our last full issue CTC, here are the details on the show that Glenn is playing with Chad Smith (RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS) and JERRY CANTRELL (ex-ALICE IN CHAINS) on April 29th, 2004 in Orlando, Florida.”

The details are as follows:

April Velvet Sessions - Glenn Hughes, Jerry Cantrell and Chad Smith

Hard Rock Hotel, Orlando, Florida, USA - Thursday, April 29th, 2004

As a double celebration, the event is also designated as "The Birthday Bash", to commemorate the hotel's 3rd anniversary.
