There's nothing tricky about my message. It speaks for itself. I was inquring as nicely as possible about the Florida trio playing out here. Why so stuck up? And now the train has made it clear-- He will not play for me. No problem whatsoever. I just don't get the train. A horses ass of another color - back at ya. Ed please email me so I can cry on your shoulder. Boo hoo. |

Texas Rich! You most certainly will see me in Texas! Several times if you're looking! I will be in San Antonio at the Bike Fest, Dallas at Graffitti's, and Fort Worth at what I think you meant is The Joint, but I may be mistaken! Wherever it is in Fort Worth I am there! I am so thankful for you booking Pat! I have a cool juke joint near me in Grapevine called Wilhoite's that you might like. Let me know if I can put you in contact! He would pack that joint! Biker's love it and are always in force! Anybody want to hook up at a Texas show, let me know. Later...Jim TEXAS!!! |

Closest I ever got to Barcelona was a week on the beach at Malgrat De Mar back in 1979. Man what a time.... I was young, in the Air Force, lying in the sun, sippin Sangria, first time on a topless beach on the Mediterranean.... Happy Monday Everyone! |

How Funny! Just a slip of the nip and the country screeches to a halt!! And it was an accident!! Yeah! Right! Funny aside: It started raining at my house a few minutes into half-time. My satellite went out mere seconds before Janet's exposè! Either that or my V-Chip kicked in!! My kids were saved! But their mom told them all about it when I took them home! Thanks Mom! CRIPE'S AMIGHTY!!! Another Floriduh PTB gig! Hey Frieghter, Edgar Winter is also on the Cocoa Beach bill! The last Saturday of this month I`ll be in Orlando to catch Joan Jett at a big biker rally. Yeah, I`m a Jett Head too! JJ goes on stage at 4:00 pm, so where be BAR later that night? Oh yeah, right after the PT/Rex Roger gig next week, I gotta boogie back to Ft.lauderdale to catch Cheap Trick the following afternoon. I`m gonna rock till I drop! Oh man, the local bands are gonna wonder what happened to me! Ahhh, they`ll just figure I`m out rockin' elsewhere. Anybody out there in PTB land want to see my breast, left and/or right? Any other body part, perhaps? Maybe, perhaps, a Frieght body part will do. S'later, JH Oh Yeah, so what about "the horse" already!!! |

No, but I am going to make two for sure. The San Antonio gig and the Dallas/Poor David's Pub gig. I am looking at Wichita Falls as it is about two hours from me. I have the kids that weekend, so I am considering it tentative. Not to stir anything up, but I have to know. And if Eric will answer this then I will know for sure. Will Eric and Rick be in San Antonio for the River City Bike Fest gig? It still shows that they will. I promise I am not stirring the pot, just shaking it around a little for an answer. And, I figured I would go straight to the mouth of the horse I rode in on!!!! After reading that, it doesn't sound so good, but it does sound kind of funny so I'll leave it!! Blu -- I don't see a fence! I'm here because of Pat, and I appreciate all EVERYONE does to support his music. Ain't no fence in that. I try really hard to stay out of political rifts -- too much going on to sweat the small stuff. Your Tahoe gig went off well, and Rich kicks ass. You've always been good to me, so has Rich and so has Eric. That's all I know. I'm not taking sides and that's that - thanks for understanding. Anyway -- A still would be cool! Doesn't look like I'll be up that way anytime soon, so have a good time at the shows. Hey Eric! Thanks for the note. I guess I had an old address for you. Have a blast in Europa, and send pics ! Stratpig -- take close look. I'm pretty sure the sun flare is held in place with a PIN --- OUCH! Now why would you want to go and do THAT?? Anyone who didn't get the Janip Jackson pics, email me and I'll forward them. PEACE - and I do mean PEACE - out! |

Hello everyone......as you may notice PT dates are rather dynamic (or evolving) due to PT's busy schedule and so many people trying to keep him that way.....some Texas dates have had a change in dates and venues for one reason or another. I just got off of the phone with PT and he says he is going to have things more definative today. The Texas shows have money into Pat so they should stay as you see them by this eve. Jim....you may get a third PT show in your area...March 21st just booked at The Point in Flower Mound TX (Suburb of Dallas)...it's on a Sunday but, you'll just have to call-in late Mon. morning. May 7th has PT,Rick & Eric at The ContraBand Music Festival in Lake Charles LA with Zebra! They are a very good Texas act that has been around for quite a while.......and more stuff is coming in after the guys get back from Europe. It's great to see that PT can stay so busy with music that we all know is timeless!! |

Rick and Sal both kick my ass, and Mars is way beyond me, but I'd give it a hell of a try anyway. Maybe at the hotel, in the bar after the show? That'll give me a year to practice! How old are your DVD players? A DVD player is really a glorified computer, and the DVD is basically a software program. Unlke a video tape, where a VHS is a VHS is a VHS, DVD programing languages change, and therefore DVD players fall out of date. I had that problem with the X-Men movie when it came out and then the PT Boom Boom (I think, whatever the one was from the Toronto show) when Rich first put that one to DVD. The first time I was lucky and the player was under warranty...I was able to get it upgraded for free. Second time though had to buy a new one. And if you're a real guy, you're always looking for an excuse to get new stuff anyway! hope this helps |

The originals are.. Elijah, Wiser Man, and In the End. These are the full and correct studio originals. They sound fantastic and all Have Pat, Rick, and Eric on them. The rest is live at the Free Bird Cafe. The live recording is just great. Pat's is ultra agressive! His "violin thing" before bad sign is friggin' incredible and he sings his heart out! Wish I was there, but I have the CD. Wait till you hear Rick and Eric on this thing!! Rick plays in perfect rythm with Pat and Eric. Plus add many cool bottom lines, especially in Born and Ice Queen. Eric also shines, but is in perfect time also. I have to say this is the most homogenous recording I have of the band and most of it is live! That is hard(I would imagine) as you can't speed up or slow down to fit in the musicians perfectly. All is done right at the time. I have a new favorite. Thanx guys! Email Eric and Rick for details as I believe they will be handling all the distibution on this puppy. Hey JM, how old is your DVD player(s)? I have a Sony and Toshiba and it plays on both mine. Plus, that is the first time I had one that won't play. I might be a defect or some thing. Why don't you just send it back and we will replace it. By the way... Nice B.A.R. site guys!! Gotta down load that song and order a CD now that I have two free seconds of time. Sorta. LOL! My "regular job" at Firestone (selling tires) has kept me so friggin' busy that my head is spinning. On the upshot.. out of 2,500 or so stores across the country I am number 8th in sales in just 6 months! Busy, busy, busy. Hey when does that Power Ball Lottery go off again? Peace Out, Rich |

The originals are only the studio stuff. As far as why there are not more... I don't ask Pat those type of questions. "Never look a gift horse in the mouth" Besides that would mean less of the live stuff on the CD. Kind of like ZZTop's Fandango. |

\quote {randal said "Let's hope that Pat and Carmine it a homer, Homer!"} I agree. I hope they get Tim Bogart for bass. That would go nicely next to my Beck Bogart and Appice CD! |

***in a cloud of smoke, Purple appears out of the haze**** Hey y'all! Long time, no type! Well, I'm happy to report that all is well with me and the IceQueen and we are now members of the broadband world, we're both online at the same time, yeehaw! I can't wait to see Pat n' da boyz in VA again, we had a blast last time, hearing Rick and Eric's "road stories" and watching them eat Chinese food. Well, you Floridians and Texans sure are gettin' a major dose of "Snortin' Whiskey n' Drinkin' Cocaine", make sure you all go to as many shows as possible to support Pat, I know you will. I'd like to get in on the Pat, Randall & Greg jam action, I've been known to strum a chord or 2 myself occasionally, though I'm no where near in Pat's league, barely good enough to carry his guitar case. But it makes a lovely dream, don't it? LOL. Jim...if you're up for it, keep an eye out for a guy by the name of Joe Bonamassa, I know he's doing some gigs near you soon, I think you'd enjoy him and his band...a very tight blues/rock power trio, and really nice guys to boot, I know he's playing Deep Ellum sometime in the next month or so...you should check him out. Randal, hope everything is good with you and the lovely missus, and the kids, etc. Thanks for thinking of me. Same goes for everyone I've met through this wonderful family we call "The Hammerheads". Too many to list, so just know I'm talking to you all. Ginbels, can't wait to hear the new stuff, sounds awesome! Drop me an email at carlj@aol.com. Hopefully we'll hang out when the boyz burn through the Mid-Atlantic! Well, I've rambled enough, it's almost dinner time. Ciao, y'all! Peace, love and rock n' roll! The Purplest of Hazes Carl |

.....and the Lord said, "let there be a show in PHX, AZ, and let the one called gREG rejoice in the glow of PTB. Then the Angels swooped down from the heavens and said, "Let the wise-men Eric and Rick be there as well," and the followers did sing praise. "Glory, glory, halaluuuuuuya....glory, glory hal......i thank u. Choooo-chooooooooo...I hear a FRIEGHT train comin' down da tracks!! g |

Eric & Rick in San Antonio!!! Holy Chit Batman!!! I only thought I was stoked before!! Later...Jim Thought this was pretty dang funny!! An old man is sitting on a park bench crying his eyes out. A young jogger approaches him and asks him what's the matter. The old man says, "I'm a multimillionaire, I have a great big house, the fastest car in the world, and I just married a beautiful blonde bombshell who satisfies me every night in bed whether I like it or not." (sob, sob) The young jogger says, "Man, you have everything I have ever dreamed for! What could be so wrong in your life that you are sitting here in the park crying?" The old man says, "I can't remember where I live!" |

Hi Steve, we too are going to Dream Theater on March 5 in SF (I think that's the right date)and I possibly might be going to Tahoe with Arleene for the weekend you are there! But, then again Texas Rich has it going on in Texas right now, would be worth a trip to TX!! I wasn't able to go see Thin Lizzy, but my son's friend went with his girlfriend (he's 17) and totally in to Deep Purple and Thin Lizzy and said it was a killer show! Hope to see you in March Steve! |

YOWZA, YOWZA, YOWZA!!! Last night was such a blast! A local talented blues band started the evening off. They were on stage for about hour playing covers, but with their own twist, as well as their own material. Next up was Pat`s good friends, the Rex Rogers Band. Rex is indeed a very talented musician and they played all original material. Some of you might know fellow Hammer heads, Mitch, Kim, Julie, and DJ, of Mitch, Kim, Julie and DJ fame. Well, they were at the show too, and are also good friends of Rex. Rex did give them all a big shout out while onstage. The RR band did just over a hour set and I was indeed very, very impressed after hearing these guys. After a short break, PT joined the RR band. They then opened with the Allman Bros. standard "One Way Out" with PT on lead guitar and vocals. After ssssmokin' that tune, they went into "Gettin' Bette'". Next up was "The Pain". Following "The Pain" was "Snortn'" which rolled into "Boom, Boom". Pat then went into a solo, with the volume sweep delay thing that he does. During the solo, the RR band left the stage. I noticed some stirring backstage during PT`s solo. When PT finished his solo, the RR band strolled back onstage, but with an additional guitarist. Pat stepped up to the, pointed to the additional guitar player, and said "I`d like to introduce a good friend of mine, Mr. Buck Darhma, from Blue Oyster Cult". The crowd went NUTS! They all then broke into a very long extended version of "Bad Sign" with Buck and PT spending a lot of time jamming together. Ya should`ve seen the grins on Buck and PT`s faces during the jam!!! After "Bad Sign" PT told the crowd goodnight. The crowd just stood there cheering and would not let the band leave the stage! The band then broke into another Allman song, I forget what it was, and after that the crowd did let them exit the stage. It was a fantastic evening! On a "bummer" side, during the show, Buck`s car was towed away for being illeagaly parked! Awight, I gotta scram now. I got a 4 hour drive to do to go catch "Cheap Trick". S'later, JH |
